Try to have a budget ratio of 75% price of a 2nd hand Honda and 25% repairs and customization you might want.
So for 300K get a 200-225K 2nd hand car and 75-100K for repairs and customization (you might want a better sound system for example).
At 200-225K hunt around for a nice Honda City 1997-2002 or a Honda Civic 2001 or older.
Of course bring a mechanic to give the car a look over. Or bring it to a shop to asses what needs to be done. Don't rush things.
Good luck on a good choice.

i doubt you can get a civic 2001 * 200k - 225k. more of 98 civic and below ang swak sa budget.
kung budget for the second hand car is 300k, ill suggest you get a civic 99-00 vti. may sukli ka pa sigurado. hehe. ingat lang sa pagbili, baka may tama yung unit coz of its age.
good luck bro!Last edited by archie123456789; March 5th, 2009 at 11:31 PM.

300 is plenty ha... for a 99-00 civic.
other models, like jazz or crv, medyo mataas pa presyo ngayon. add another 50-100k to your budget, though, nd you can literally buy any model you like before 2006.
i'd suggest a toyota, but they're so reliable and safely styled they're boring... kinda takes the fun out of motoring, hehehe. at mahal din.
bang for the buck yung mga nissans except maybe x-trail 2nd hand. spend 180-250 for a cefiro, pagawa mo pang ilalim at mga gaskets and oil seals ng makina, and you're good to go... pwede mo na ipamana sa kids mo... they're very reliable.
