November 27th, 2007 10:28 AM #2first advice, dont expect too much because that will be an old car although some esi can be of good condition if well maintained (like ours when we bought it from our ninang).
since automatic yan, better check the condition of the tranny first. check the ATF kung ok ang kulay. then smell it kung amoy sunog na goma or not. dapat amoy oil siya at ndi amoy sunog.
then start the engine, then engage the tranny into R (reverse) and the D's (drive). dapat walang lag time sa pag engage ng tranny.
sa engine, just look kung malinis ang engine. dapat walang oil sa engine. mas ok nga kung mejo magabok pa hehehehe. then silip ka sa ilalim to check kung may tagas na oil. check mo yung floor ng garage kung may oil drops.
sa condition ng makina, advisable talaga na magsama ng trusted mechanic or freind or relative na sanay kumilatis sa kotse.
ask mo din yung owner about the condition of the car then tantiyhin mo kung honest siya or ginu good time ka hehehe.
eto pa lang naisip ko.
btw, lakas siya sa gas. mga 6-7km/l ang city driving. mga 1okm/l sa highway.

What he probably means is upon engaging the shift stick to D or R, the car should move instantly. hindi dapat parang nahihirapan.
