But as I've said, dapat marunong ka. Alam mong i-check kung bakit nasunog ang connector. One reason kaya nasunog is that there might be short sa opposite end ng mga wires. Kung may short sa opposite ends, kahit palitan mo yan ng bagong connector, masusunog pa rin. Worst, buong harness ang masusunog. Kumuha ka voltmeter and start checking them. If you don't know how to do it, bring your car to your trusted auto-electrician. Goodluck.

just to update the thread on what happened to my low beam lights. kinalas ko siya at nilinis. removed the carbon and burned plastic tapos exposed the wire to be directly connected to the switch. so far so good naman. wala na burning smell and i already have a steady low beam everytime. but i have to start saving to replace it for the long term.

Thanks for your insights and feedback, appreciate it. Just to give an update on my City05, CASA replaced the lever and the switch, the guy gave me the lever/switch, told me that it was burned already inside, the contact / oil something is already coming out from the switch. after that everything is OK na.
Anyways, Thanks again guys for your feedback and got lots of information from you......

Yes Sir, malamang yun lever/ switch replacement na rin yan, in the past, wala ka bang na noticed / na smell na parang sunog sa loob ng car? kasi before mawala yun low beam ko, i noticed na parang amoy sunog sa loob ng car, then after that napansin ko wala na akong low beam.

Buti nabasa ko itong lumang thread na to.
I was driving at night ppasok sa work when i smell a slight burning thing.. akala ko galing sa labas. nung pumila ako sa parking pinatay ko ilaw ko.. when i tried to turn it on ayun ayaw na ng low beam. tapos ni try ko i high beam ayaw rin.. parang ayaw gumana ng switch.. hindi sya nag stay sa high position pag binitawan mo. after a few trial napagana ko na high beam, kaso wala na tlga low beam. anu po kaya ang dapat palitan?

as published in the web some hondas have possible wiring fault. where the terminal wire joint corrodes over time and moves causing increase in contact resistance thereby generating heat leading to melting of wire connecting coupler, which eventually leads to headlight switch malfunction causing the low beam to become non-operational, high beam and other signal lights are not affected because they are not used as often and as long as the low beam lights (moreso if driving hours are spent more at night) aside from having a different connection inside the switch.

Recall: 820 000 more Hondas for faulty headlamp wiring - MSN Autos

after being fixed, its recommended to upgrade with heavy duty headlight wiring harness with relays to share the heat and the load. mine had no issues since.
Sir ganito po issue nung jazz ko.. anu po naging solution? palit switch or wire coupling?
