buying a surplus engine has the same perils as buying a used car. you do not know the history of either..
so, i suppose buying a surplus engine halves the potential peril as buying a used car with engine.. at least yung current katawan mo, alam mo na ang mga sakit..
but... laking hassle ang pagpalit ng engine, compared to getting a complete car..

Current car 99 civic lxi automatic tranny.

Planning to try out the underrated D15b 3stage with Cvt/multimatic, yung may Econo, Normal and Sport mode. Matipid daw po ito.

Just wanna know kung gagana sya sa local ek natin?

    60k sya sa Initial D. Comes with D15b+CVT tranny+ecu+harness+installation.

if the question is kung gagana, yes gagana yan. complete na hanging harness. try to get programmable ecu for own tuning kung gusto. The question now is if not for performance, what is the reason to change engine?

kung gusto tumipid, mahirap justify kasi mahirap bawiin yung ginastos. another is cvt tranny are hard if not impossible to find parts. In my opinion not worth the trouble.

28km/L daw po kasi sa highway itong D15b 3stage multimatic hehehe.
Current fc ko is 6-7 city, 10-12km/L naman sa highway. Palitin na din kasi tranny, minsan may 10-15secs delay bago mag-engage Reverse pag cold start.

parang mahirap painwalaan yung 28km/l. realistically sa tingin ko mga 15km/l max on Highway running 80km/h. just get a tranny in my opinion but it's still your choice.

teka, kasama yung switch knob for selector and gauge na may Econo? parang ok for beautification

If I have a everyday car and the civic would be my toy car, ill seriously think about it or maybe gone through with it but for daily driven ill stick to stock.

Thanks tlaga sir i will stick to my ph12 for now after 3 years siguro ako papalit ng engine gagamitin ko muna to kasi sayang good fuel consumption pa naman at kaya din tumakbo 100km/h.

ask ko nalang din sir ok ba to? i found out pinutol pala ng previous owner yung spring ng suspension i would want to buy this lowering spring.

ito yung link ng spring: New Arrival RS Coilover Adjustable spring with Scale - Philippines - 16222610

    thanks.

naku wag na coil over sleeves. gone through those before and every month bumababa ng bumababa hangang sasagad. nakakatamad pa adjust. lowering spring na lang sir na neuspeed or tanabe kahit 2nd hand.
