Ano bang year model yang Accord mo?
During AC operation, your AC fan in the middle setting, idling, after 5 mins. check mo yung AC suction pipe sa engine bay kung malamig ( malaking pipe na papunta sa AC compressor). Pag malamig, it is a good indicator na ok ang refrigerant charge mo.

sir thanks for the help. it's a 1997 vtec VTi-S 4speed A/T euro version. grabe nakakaiyak sa consume ng gas, di ko mailabas madalas dahil sa budget. tamang laklak siya for her engine (kaso di ko alam ilang km per liter), mahal lang talaga gas ngayon...
kahapon it was checked but nothing wrong was found so i'll test it again someday. we'll have it checked up maybe next time? no definite day yet, may naka sched kasi kami na appointment, maraming salamat uli

April 10th, 2011 09:32 PM #464I had the same exact problem with my 97 VTI-S. Turns out it was a faulty radiator cap that cost me around 300 bucks to fix
The coolant was leaking though the rad cap and the radiator was loosing coolant, so instant overheat. Yes, it only happens at constant mid RPMs, like driving along the SLEX.
I used to use a 1.1 Bar rated cap when I was on a single row radiator. Now I use a 0.9 with my brand new two row radiator.
I figured that out after spending too much on :
1) A new water pump.
2) A new thermostat.
3) Radiator overhaul.
4) A brand new two row radiator ... but that's just me being OC, the overheat issue was already fixed even before I upgraded to two rows :P

Mga Sir,
I'll try you're recommendations this weekend. Palinis then palit cap plus 50/50 coolant.
By the way, ilang litro po ba radiator ng accord? yung akin parang 2 rows na pero parang manipis parin.
Thank you po.

A relative of mine in Canada had his Scion FR-S PPF'd and then had it ceramic coated. He says it's...
