Always use Genuine Honda power steering fluid. If you are in a desperate situation, Auto supply sells "Honda Compatible" (red bottle, written in big letters) PS fluid that you can use. If not......
The reason you must use Genuine Honda fluid is because of the extremely high pressure system used in the Accord. If you use generic PS fluid or ATF fluid, you run the risk of ruining the Power Steering pump or damaging seals within the steering rack causing expensive damage.
On brake fluid you can use DOT-3 or 4. I strongly recommend that your car brake hydraulic systems should be flushed before adding fresh fluid. Flush it every two to three years so yours is due. Brake fluid is hygroscopic which means, simply, that it attracts moisture. As the moisture content increases the boiling point of the brake fluid decreases. When the fluid boils it becomes a gas which is non compressible and you have absolutely no brakes. DOT 3-4 or even 5 brake fluid would help fight againts moisture but, still need to replace for safety reason.

Kung sa Casa it say's Genuine Honda power steering fluid. Why not bought also the brake fluild there. Honda might cost a little bit more.... for how much? At least you are rest assured. It probably has some other things in there to make it better but, you have to ask. I would just use the Honda. It is no big deal.
Ace hardware????
Sorry, I dont know if Ace hardware carrying brake fluid, not here in States.

September 21st, 2009 04:34 AM #289Hi! Nasa Dubai po ako ngayun and meron akong 1994 accord coupe, to be honest wala ako problema dito as long na marunong ka lang mag maintain....the car has an F22B vtec engine , pinalitan ko na ng JDM kasi marami dito sa dubai engine na galing Japan at low mileage pa. maganda ang accord especially vtec ang makina mo, di ka mapapahiya sa highway, dito sa dubai balewala ang 120 kph na speed kaya kahit bago sasakyan mo pag mahinang klase iiwanan ka na parang supot ng mga ferrari at kahit other japanese cars na bagong modelo pero dito sa accord ko... whew! sila iniiwan ko. Long story actually kung paano ko inaalagaan ito but vtec engine is the best that you can get, matipid pa sa gas... goodluck!
