Pang 3 na daw kami na nagbalik (mobilio and brv na model and mga nag balik). Factory defect daw yung fuel pump nung mga na release ng June and July sabi mismo ng customer service nila at mechanic na tumingin.

Can we ask for a new unit? Nakakainis lang brand new sira agad tapos papalitan agad ng pump. Ano kaya ang best na gawin namin?
what guarantee is there, that the new unit won't bog down, also?
just have the pump replaced with a non-bogging replacement part.

    i wonder,
are there equivalent replacement fuel pumps that the irate car owner can use, in lieu of the supposedly defective units that the casa provides?
i mean, are these fuel pumps exclusively for the brv or mobilio models only...?

2018/2019 model ba yung Mobilio mo? Was thinking of purchasing a BR-V 2020 model (released just this June/July yung 2020) and still not sure if the model being 2020 makes it safe from the Fuel Pump issue.

To all the Xpander owners that sent me messages about the fuel pump, here’s Mitsubishi Philippines official reply
“We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers by the recent technical issue being encountered in our Xpander model. We have started receiving service complaints regarding the fuel pump issue sometime in April. We are currently looking into the cause of this issue and have expedited the arrival of affected part this month for distribution.
For concerns regarding this issue, please visit any of our authorized dealer nationwide.”

2018 rs mobilio sir. Hanggat maari iwasan mo na yung June / July na release, galing na mismo sa mechanic nila na may bulletin na may factory defect yung batch na yun ng BRV at mobilio.

Update, we will go back to our dealer, tumawag yung branch manager samin isolated incident lang daw tapos kumambyo na sila ng statement na hindi daw factory defect mali daw assessment nung mechanic nila. At kaya daw i fix agad yung sasakyan.

For now based dun sa statement ng dealer/manager nyo, safe parin ang 2020 model units.

Honda must have changed suppliers on their fuel pumps for the mobilio and brv. The gamble they usually take to lower the cost and raise a bit of profit margin.

sa tingen ko yan mga nasisiraan ng fuel pump ng Xpander or BRV, mga light foot, yun mga gusto maka-achieve ng high Fc sa 7 seater gasoline car, or always low rpm driving, and so the fuel pump goes kaput kasi ang tipid ng apak sa gas, so the pump itself is not functioning optimally, and breaks down. Pump needs to pump, it it's pumping less from the tank to the injectors, di naman totally mamonitor ng computer Yan coz the pump is still analog / mechanical, it's not digital .

so for those owners na may brv / xpander, floor your cars from time to time, parang Italian tune up. not because you want to avoid carbon build up, but for the mechanicals of your car to run optimally.

kaya siguro hinde lahat ng BRV / Xpander nasisira, coz if it's a defective product re: the fuel pump, eh di dapat lahat ng BRV or Xpander nakapila nasa CASA ngaun

    ---

that's why I ditched all my gasoline cars na eh coz of the worsening metro traffic, now average of 15kph na lang takbo natin, this is a gasoline engine killer. at least , with diesel it's is designed to run slower or even kasi madami idle times.

gasoline cars love largabyahe driving, like iin California or Australia, yun ang natural environment nila that's why gasoline engines last longer dun sa mga bansa na yun

Fuel pump pumps fuel to maintain rail pressure irregardless of how hard youre stepping on the gas pedal..
