those model from 1996-2000 are still the best. Easy to fix, fast, simple pero rock! :D

True. However, what I noticed is that it has a lot of body flex. You can hear the unibody squeak when going over ramps at an angle.

For my subjective opinion, the best Civic is the 8th Gen (FD). The 7th Gen is probably the worst, IMO.

even though we have the 8th gen fd (2.0 s/l), driving our old stock ek still titillates me to no end

ayoko lang kapag traffic kasi m/t, nakakapagod!

Pero in fairness to the ES Civic, it's the first and only model sold locally which offered the d15b 3-stage in stock.... Please correct me if im wrong on this...

And also the first to have an i-vtec system (k20a)...

I personally don't like the head and tail lights that much .. but when dressed up properly, it could be one hell of a headturner ... meron sa may parking lot sa office namin na blue na ES (eagle eye, yung facelifted model) na astig ang porma...

Locally Ek is unbeatable, whether on the road or in car shows.

Every car show laging may entry, like the Manila Auto Salon last month, side by side with the supercars are the civics, EKs.

And its the most HATED car in tsikot.

I go with the Civic FC. It comes stock with a turbo. If you want raw FWD performance, the current Type R is a monster.
