wer can i find a very good, low-mileage,mura, HONDA CIVIC SIR 2000 model.
am planing to buy kc for ordinary family use & at the sametime wt every teenager of my age wants.. my very own pretty nefty cool ride.

bago plang kc ako d2, kaya pasensya po mga pipz.

based on the original question...

IMHO, its the EG Civic.

design:
exterior
~very unique silhouette...low hood and high trunk
~raked rear windshield
~very japanese slit-like headlights
~no grille
~unconventional door handles
~no quarter windows, only black panel on the rear windows.
~trunk is designed to have a ducktail spoiler (even if its designed more than a decade ago!)

interior
~dash is sportier than the EK (IMO) as it is slanted forward and feels low
~low cowl too.
~feels airy inside.
~but really the ambience is very un-sedan like....it actually reminds me of a 86 Prelude of my tito.

suspension
~4 wheel double wishbone suspension

newbie din ako...meron akong stock na 97 vti...yung kulay...maong blue

ang problema di ko alam kung paano pagandahin... gusto ko sana i-lower pero baka magsuffer ang ride... yung tipong sumasayad sa tapalodo yung gulong pag may konting uneven surface ka na nadaanan...i also plan to put in 17's... kaso takot ako baka maging baduy eh...tulong naman mga bossing sa ideas on how I could make my ride prettier....at para di OT EK all the way

This is quite a really old thread to date, but for reference of other readers who would look at this:....

This "unsportiness" thing is because for the ES model up, Honda replaced the double wishbone suspension with mcpherson struts...

EF, EG and EK are known to have sporty handling because of the double wishbone ... The ES and FD use mcpherson due to cost-cutting sa production....

Have owned most of the range of civics:
- 93 hatchback
- 96 lxi
- 00 vtec 3
and now 06 civic

the 06 civic is for me the most complete and so far the best of the civics. Best mix in terms of style, power, handling. Good thing I got the first batch - better upholstery compared to today's common moquet design. I find the tails better too compared to the squarish leds they have now. Just my humble subjective opinion.
