January 4th, 2009 12:37 PM #14i think Petron Blaze has the highest RON rating at 96, whereas Shell's V-Power is at 95. but i agree with the recommendation that you should experiment in what "feels" best for your engine - especially since most fuels in the city are up to spec anyway.
i personally prefer XCS - good compromise on price and RON rating. i've also noticed that my GD engine responds better to it.

dude when i got my 2009 jazz, i use e10 ng shell first kasi yun ang mura that time, tumatagal naman ng 1 week 65 km araw-araw biyahe. then shifted to caltex silver tagal maubos din 9 days din ang interval before i fulltank. karga lang ako pagilaw n indicator.

Bossing, kamusta hatak ng e10 vs. the regulars? May difference ba?
A friend of mine commented that e10 does not burn as quickly as the regulars so end up burning more, whereas mag-Blaze or Gold ka, kagat agad. Yung natipid mo sa e10 end up as the extra burn to get you up to speed/power.

April 2nd, 2009 03:12 PM #17What kind of e10 yan? The g5 extreme of sea oil rated at 95 octane performs well. Pickup is fast, a tad better than vpower. A modified forester at SCP also commented of better performance using this g5. I drive a forester turbo. I'll find out this week if it consumes more than blaze or vpower. Im getting good results with the latter but need a cheaper alternative.
Shell is 93 octance and Petron 95 (daw) e10 nila. Best I've used is the g5 of sea oil. Pickup is better, very similar or even better than blaze or vpower. Though I've yet to confirm if I do have lower km/liter fuel economy.

been using shell super unleaded since i got my jazz about 2 weeks ago.
TIA!

I use Petron XCS 95 octane or caltex gold 95 octane on my SR20 engine . So far no problem in performance , Fuel economy .
as above, if you want to go OEM-style, get a "spare tyre lock". but i use an ordinary cheap...
