    my 1.08 pesos' worth,
if the problem is a standard part only and not honda-specific, and the extended warranty isn't going to cover the repair, i'd probably bring it elsewhere.

i just had my entire compressor (innova's) replaced at banawe.
the unit cost me 13.5K, and it took about two hours of downtime, including the testing and diagnosis, and the requisite "tawaran".

    for comparison.

it may look saklay in the daytime,
but no one will question its attention-getting visibility at night,
    where it counts.

While I was having all my tires replaced, I noticed that one of the rear shock absorbers has oil leaking and presumably needs replacement. I checked with the nearby casa and they told me it would cost around 19k for parts and labor. I checked for aftermarket shock absorbers and found KYB Excel G online which costs only 3,620 each. Has anyone tried KYB's before? How is it compared with the OEM part? Also, are there other brands to check? I would prefer comfort over handling performance since this is my daily drive.

KYB is the norm brand sa cheap replacement shocks. Try to inquire sa Honda if how much kapag yung part lang.

in my non-honda, some years ago,
they charged me less than 2K each in banawe, for a generic black-colored rear shock.
but after over 5 years, it's still fine.

    oops!
    googling the image,
    mukhang hindi yan generic.
    sorry.
    wrong price, most probably.

I had it mine replaced both rear with KYB Excel G * P3.6k each last April lang. 1st replacement after 4years * 70k kms. No significant differences between OEM naman.

KYB Excel G shocks are decent OEM replacements. Usually P2k+ (depending on model) lang sa Banawe.
