Yung mga luma namin na sasakyan, more than 10 years old di pa nasisira ang compressor... I have also seen some other japanese brand's new crossovers with their compressor giving up early on...

But this is probably my last Honda. Nung una pinalitan EPS gearbox under warranty din. Worth 80k din yon.

Defo not Honda. Maka Geely or Changan na lang nga! Hahaha.


Sa US may TSB sila for Civic as well that extends the AC warranty for 10 years because of a defective condenser naman.

No idea of the premature compressor failure. 4.5years pa lang car with 35k kms clocked in.

Mainit sa driver side means low or leaking freon, but per the levels hindi naman mababa so wala daw leak, and the problem is intermittent. I have single zone climate lang.

speaking of.
after over 140K km, my 17 year old innova's compressor finally had to be replaced.
actually, it was the clutch that died. but we could not remove it from the rest of the compressor, as it was so old, nanigas na ang pins sa loob.

Share lang my 2018 Civic nawalan ng lamig sa driver side vent. Intermittent siya and when it happens may hissing sound sa engine bay/compressor area.

Papunta sa casa malamig wala problem, but byahe nung weekend may problema.

Diagnosis nila palit compressor and tensioner pulley/bearing. 150 H / 30 L ang freon pressure at idle, normal daw at wala leak.

Magagamit ko na extended warranty sa wakas!

Please have it checked at a dedicated aircon shop, specifically yung Denso-affiliated. For second opinion lang. Asa casa kasi, replace lang alam nila.

Gusto nga sana sa aircon shop muna, kaso I have extended warranty and better to use it.

Also my neighbor's 2019 Civic exhibited the same symptoms but evaporator ang diagnosis sa kanya.

kasi, most of the time ay de-cajon lang ang innards niyan...

Honda SPA diagnosed mine, on the spot. Pinapabalik lang ako kapag approved na extended warranty claim and andun na yung part. Recommended na din nila isabay linis ng aircon.

Not sure if I heard it right, but sabi ng SA, 6 digits daw yung compressor, wtf? I will verify once may papers na.
