when my 96 civic a/t was brand new i was able to run it to 180kph sa nlex......after a few months added iceman and aftermarket exhaust....was able to go 190kph (indicated sa speedo). pero iba talaga kung bago ang kotse, what with the new suspension bushings; it feels really stable unlike now, nakakatakot na even 120 hehe. ung 1st to 2nd shift shock it can be remedied by adjusting a cable opposite the throttle cable. seems like very few mechanics know about this.

I have a 97 Civic matic also. So far i clocked 130 kph in NLEX. pero di pa todo yung gas nun, natakot lang ako na subukan pa ng 150 kph kasi parang di na stable yung car. I think kaya pa ng 150 kph.

The automatic EK Civics were notorious for "shift-shock".
