Coding exemption will probably be repealed eventually ... when the ratio of hybrid cars becomes high enough ...

Base model has 1.5 turbo (190 hp). Same engine as Civic FE but with higher HP (190 vs 178).
We currently have a Civic FE, super good engine. I also have a 2.4 CRV (185 hp) but super layo ng power ng 1.5 turbo in real world use.
If the 1.5 turbo is 1.9M tapos 2.5M yung hybrid, I’d say the 1.5 turbo is still the better buy.

March 22nd, 2023 04:33 PM #34190 hp is mini cooper S power levels....;)
And petrol turbo torque > NA anyday. Also better than diesel torque for the flatter and longer torque wave .
Only electrics and hybrids will better it.

March 22nd, 2023 06:45 PM #35This article from TopGear PH mentions that its "Accord’s tune that makes 190hp and 242Nm of torque."
RS Line will have AWD which will make things interesting
EL e:HEV will still get coding exemption

Yeah that’s what I said - 190 hp for the CRV.
On a separate paragraph I was sharing how my CRV 2.4 with 185 hp pales in comparison to my brother’s Civic FE with 178 hp. Even if the power figures are similar, it’s a world of difference in terms of performance. 8 seconds vs 11 seconds 0-100 times.
