ang buyer ng "hatchback" will be choosing between the Yaris, Mazda 2 and City...

I was looking at the Civic S earlier... kaso naalala ko bigla na sobrang entry level nya.

Civic S vs Civic E

Yung "E" may Cruise Control, Folding Mirrors, Carplay and Auto, 60:40 Split Type rear seat etc (additional 73K over the S)

If you go City Hatch naman, leather seats + steering wheel

I guess reasonable yung 73k premium on the Civic E.

If shopping for a subcompact, 900k would be a good budget. Maybe even add a little. However, if going over 1M, it would be better to get a bigger car.

On a different note, eto yung mga matitinding hatchbacks!

Still I'd go for the Civic.

The Golf even with the smaller 1.4L turbo gas engine is quite fun to drive. I would even say it drives better than the Civic 1.5L RS Turbo.

Kaso may mali eh. Bakit ginawang isang variant lang, yung pinaka high-end na rs tapos above 1 million ang pricing? Hindi tuloy nag mukang patas.

Brio siguro ang nasa low end HB range.

For versatility kahit walang ULT, gawin nila na split folding _and_ tumble ang rear seats ala Avanza J 5 seater.

Tapos ang front passenger seat, gawin fold flat forward (kailangan lang ng separate headrest).

Hindi maganda sa ULT ang fuel tank sa harap. Nawala rear passenger foot space. Bitin. Kung naka fold and tumble ang rear seat halos tall mode din.
