October 15th, 2007 08:21 PM #1Somebody from Honda Alabang called me up an upgrade of my
Civic brake switch upgrade FOR FREE.
Had anyone have the same experience, just wondering why they
are going to upgrade the switch!

Actually I included the side mirror mount water leak for repair.
They even offered to go to my office for the installation but
will be confirmed later.
i'm using the civic 4x a week, no problem so far i can remember.

October 18th, 2007 08:52 PM #9Yesterday, two Technician from Honda Alabang went to my office and install a rubber boot of such to the connector of the brake light. Not the brake light switch itself. Maybe the oil from the steering flooded the connector as I read above.
My personal analogy was, if the lube is flammable and the connector is loose there might be friction when you pressed the brake. This may ignite . . . safety
concern.
The other tech repair the leak on both side mirror, after washing water still dripping long after you dried the car. Now the dripping is gone.
Yes, this is some sort of recall, although minor.
