ORSEM yata last Saturday kaya siguro sarado si Manangs. I saw freshies being toured around the campus when i drove by in the afternoon. I remember nga during the time of my sister, Clubhouse nga tawag sa Manangs.
Di pa OrSem nung Saturday, it was the ME Prepcourse. Simultaneously though, the OrSem logistics crew was having a dry run with a group of about 15 people.
^OIC. Surpsingly a lot of cars were on campus last weekend as well that's why i thought i was ORSEM already. Man i miss those days. I remember my ORSEM day 1 where i was lined up with Rich Alvarez at the entrance. I was conversing with him in Tagalog only to find out later that he was Amboy and didnt understand Tagalog too much. No wonder he gave me a lot of those blank WTF stares that time. Nice guy though; i still run into him at our Parish from time to time and we still get to talk (in English naman ngayon). :D
ORSEM LogCom for 2 years 1998 and 1999 (baka ako pa nag-abot ng tubig at pagkain ni Vinj ). La kasi magawa after summer classes. Masayang nakakapagod
Baka dumadami mga freshie na nakakotse ) Oh them lucky ones. I never really liked my OrSem experience. It was held 2 weeks after classes started, because of the AH1N1 epidemic at the time. Prepcourse was more memorable for me. Mukhang bumebenta rin yung idea of a course-specific prepcourse kasi ginagaya na rin ng ibang org eh.
Nag Logcom din ako in my 3rd or 4th year. I learned to sleep on connected monoblock chairs that time. I also remember someone asking me out on a date during that particular Orsem. I'm sure more and more froshies are getting cars now as compared to before. In my time, bihira pa yung nagdadala ng laptop sa class. Classes are about to start. Bring on the Katipunan traffic!!!
pasukan na hindi pa tapos widening ng Katipunan... anyway, kahit siguro gaano kalapad ang katipunan we just have to live with the traffic situation since ako, nasanay na ako after studying in admu for 16years haha... immune na ako
Ayang widening na yan, nalabuan ako diyan haha. After the ME prepcourse kahapon, napansin ko nga nadagdagan ng isang lane yung northbound side. Pero hindi naman nabawasan yung southbound. San galing yung extra lane? Haha.
Sanayan na lang sa traffic sa katipunan nga. Pero early 2000's dami na rin talaga may tsikot.
Save for building a shared flyover or underpass for vehicles exiting Ateneo and Miriam going to Katipunan southbound, one way they can help improve traffic flow along Katipunan northbound is for Ateneo to build an off-ramp style entrance at Gate 3. The right turn slows down cars too much and takes up two lanes. When there were no U-turn slots and only open intersections, the traffic was quite manageable as long as there were traffic enforcers. The U-turn slots work well on off peak hours but the sheer volume between 6:30 to 7:20am and 2pm to 5pm is just too much for the u-turns to work efficiently. I pass Katipunan almost everyday as well and during school days, it's either i pass through before 6:30am or after 7:20am.
