Insurance should be easy. Good thing you're okay, man.
I've been there before... luckily, my situation wasn't as bad as yours (but no less nerve-wracking). If your insurance company is good, it should accept the police report right away, and you can have your car in the casa within just a few days.

Just an update. Finally acquired the police report and the photographic evidence (daw, but from the pic, kinuhanan nang nasa police outpost na ung sasakyan). Also found out na ung driver was brought to Crame Hospital. Went there and upon checking, nakaalis na ung driver. Seems like bleeding is caused due to cracked parts of the windshield lang. So, finally, tomorrow mapapaestimate ko na ung sasakyan (# coding kasi today) and luckily ma-start na repairs asap. thanks guys for all the comments and suggestions. Highly appreciate it po! :D

use your insurance. yan talaga ang purpose non. let your insurance company to run after the taxi operator.
they should learn their lesson, that way baka matuto silang pumili ng maayos magmaneho na driver and to keep their units in good condition.
buti na lang naka-seatbelt kayo. that prevents additional injury to you and your companions.
