I just saw a friend of mine after 7 long years. I've heard rumors that he is using shabu! How do you tell? What are the tell tale signs. Is it similar to crystal meth that's popular in the US?

For crystal meth these are the symptoms:
    -losing weight
    -weird round dilated eyes
    -bad teeth
    -crazy ideas
    -etc.

How about shabu? Anybody with experience with an addict? How do you help him? I need help!

convince him to go in rehab, if he is so deep in the addiction, only professional can help... based on what I read halos ganyan nga ang mga symptoms...

always in need of money siguro and isa pang sign ng addict

Since its an upper, delusions/hallucinations can happen.

no. 1 is acceptance on his part. relatives and friends' support goes in second.
without his will to quit, it's useless to spend millions in rehabs.

    1. Loss of appetite. Give him something tasty, like Adobo, chances are di niya kakainin.
    2. Pumapayat.
    3. Utal magsalita. Parang hinihila pabalik ang dila.
    4. He can't stop talking about EVERYTHING.
    5. Laging may dalang tubig or may iniinom na liquid.
    6. Dilat ang mata. Sobrang puti.
    7. Di makatulog. Expect a call at 3am and talk about alien ships.
    8. Di mapakali. He's always moving.
    9. Pale skin. As in parang nakakita ng multo.
    10. Binebentahan ka ng mga gamit ng mura. For example: iPod for 2k.

I don't believe in rehab. My friend was 'rehab' twice and he keeps coming back to shabu.

He HAS to quit his 'drug friends', detach FROM them. Don't call, email, text or meet them anymore.

Thanks pips for the quick replies.

I guess I have to start talking to his relatives first about this and have more insight on how to start helping him!
