June 19th, 2018 06:26 PM #71Authorities in that area should be more proactive in monitoring soil conditions and closing off the area when they deem it too dangerous.
Or is there a monitoring system in place already?

Walang sophisticated monitoring system ata dyan.

Then, after one week nag claim ako sa insurance and file my notarized affidavit and other docs(DL, OR/CR, before & after pics of windshield, O.R. of repair from Casa.)
LOL!!!

If the boulder dropped just a foot or so towards the front, the outcome could've been a lot different.
I frequent Kennon on my trip to the north more than Marcos HW. But whenever I see the signages cautioning drivers to watch out for falling rocks, I tend to downplay it in my mind and instead, picture falling pebbles and pieces of soil that do no more harm than to put a dent on my vehicle.
Not anymore.
That is one giant pebble!
