Thanks to all of your advices..
Just an update on this case:
The car, unfortunately, had no comprehensive insurance.
But we were able to trace the name and address of the owner of the car (UTJ 541) through the help of LTO. My brother went to the given address and brought with him the police report. He was able to talk to the mother of the owner who admitted that her son arrived home dead drunk that sunday morning. He promised to accompany his son to my brother's house once he comes home.
The next day, they came to my brother's house. They promised to shoulder all of the expenses. So the issue is already half settled as of now. Once they pay my brother, he will share some of the payment to the kind taxi driver.Last edited by Hanren; December 28th, 2009 at 11:33 PM.
