January 9th, 2014 01:10 PM #42vanity. it's not so much the need for it, but the "because we can" thing.
whenever i see dull surfaces like this, i get reminded of battle tanks and other military hardware.. yung hindi man lang pinakintab dahil pasasabugan lang naman..
but i wonder... foiler recommendation is that the paint be factory. is it just possible, that the vehicle's finish was previously damaged, and then repainted, then sold as brand new ...? was the car dealer an official outlet, or grey zone marketing ? heh heh.Last edited by dr. d; January 9th, 2014 at 01:36 PM.

Well, it's an innovation to preserve factory paint. I can understand it for collector's items, supercars and exotics. That factory paint probably fetches a premium when trying to re-sell the vehicle.
For everything else that's mass market, I think factory paint still fetches a premium, but perhaps a much smaller one. Personally, I don't see the point.

My front bumper and hood are clear wrapped...yung kasabayan ko puro stonechip na hindi na makukuha sa buffing..just want to preserve the paint for resale value...

May nakita akong BMW, naka wrap yung nose niya, parang hood bra lang. Part of the hood lang.
