    THe truck has blocked 3 lanes because it stalled across the road... Traffic has reached West Ave.intersection...

    Apparently she was seated at the back of the double cab, not wearing her seatbelt. When the Montero crashed to the side of their pick-up, she was thrown sideways and ended hitting her head on the center console box between the front seats... :P Also complained of neck pains from whiplash...

    At about 1:45 this afternoon, December 21 2017, 5 vehicle – 2 SUV’s, two cars, and a pick-up truck – figured in a crash at the underpass of Shaw Blvd along EDSA. And while no one was fatally injured, at lease five person were reported hurt.

    One of those hurt was ABS-CBN veteran reporter Doris Bigornia and driver Marco, when their news car was slammed into by one of the wayward cars.

    Doris suffered a cut on her forehead after she hit it somewhere inside the cab due to the impact of the collision. Ms. Bigornia was seated at the back when the crash happened.

    Doris was not wearing her seatbelt!

    This brings to light, again, the importance of wearing a seatbelt wherever you are positioned inside a car. A car crash can come from any direction.

    Not buckling up will cause you to bounce around the vehicle in an event of a crash causing you to hit hard objects in a car. Sometimes this could be fatal.

    So remember the lesson here, always buckle up!!!

    According to MMDA, the accident happened around 1:45 p.m. when a Montero Sport with plate number PQS 314 on Edsa-Shaw tunnel northbound “suddenly went wild,” and crossed the center island and rammed into a Toyota Vios bound south.
    “Nag-sudden unintended acceleration, talagang bumilis [‘yung Montero Sport with plate number], biglang umarangkada,” Nebrija said, quoting its driver.

    (It had a sudden unintended acceleration; the Montero Sport suddenly sped up.)

    The public is advised to take note of the following road closures and re-routing of vehicles due to the Iglesia Ni Cristo's "Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty" on May 6, 2018.

    ROAD CLOSURE for MANILA site: 10:00 PM of May 5, 2018 onwards

    - East and Westbound lane of P. Burgos, from Roxas Blvd. to Lagusnilad
    - Both lanes of Finance Rd., from Taft Ave. to P. Burgos
    - East and Westbound lane of TM Kalaw from Taft Ave. to Roxas Blvd.
    - Westbound lane of Pres. Quirino, from Taft Ave. to Roxas Blvd.
    - North and Southbound lane of Bonifacio Drive from Anda Circle to P. Burgos.
    - North and Southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. from P. Burgos to P. Ocampo.
