JED, dude pare sorry to hear that, nangyari na rin sa akin iyan,
medyo bata bata pa ako, walang modo talaga ang mga hinayupak na mga tow-ers na yan! 1000 at that time, kahit ano naman reklamo ko wala rin naman saysay so better give them the money and just move on. tutal may kasalanan din naman tayo
saka ignorance of the law excuses no one.

wiretap, wala naman silang paki kung front or rear or naka engage ang hand brake, basta tow kung tow!

dito sa manila, walang patawad yan mga hayupna yan.....kahit anong pang gawin mong handbreak or engaged ng tansmission, tow pa rin nila yan...pipilitin nila basta makahila sila...wala silang pakialam kung meron masira....

bakit hinde n alang kaya tirelock ang gawin nila, mas tipid pa sila sa tao and sa gas..isang truck na lang ang iikot tapos dala na lahat ng tire lock...di hind epa sila makaksira ng kotse.....

Nagpost na rin ako dati ng thread tungkol dyan sa hinayupak na cathy & kyle towing services na yan.....ang violation ko daw e parking near a bridge...e samantalang sangkatutak na jeep at fx ang mas nauna sa kin at yung oto ko lang ang tinow nila....namimili rin ang mga mokong na to...pag mga oto na pormado tow agad. pag naman mga jeep at fx di nila pinapakelaman. at tsaka pag suv dala mo (LC100 or expe) takot sila i-tow baka me authority ang me-ari.

ang kinabubwisit ko sa kanila ay di nila sinusunod ang proper towing procedures.....biruin mo sa sobrang bilis nila humatak ng sasakyan pwede na silang magqualify sa guiness book of records!

jurisdiction pa rin b ng mmda ang manila? o under ke mayor atienza na?

MMDA had jurisdiction over all of metro manila. Logical naman na local government units (cities) have to submit to national government authorities (mmda).

Unless the LTO handbook I had was wrong, bawal talaga parking within 6M of a curb. Pati yung pag-sampa sa sidewalk bawal din, mas mabuti pa park ka na lang sa gilid...

Now, regarding other things I think what we have is a really sad case of greed (authorities) and laziness (ourselves). Apologies firsthand because this is a rant, and I understand sometimes the situation really sucks, but then we can either pass blame or deal with it. We could blame the disrespectful towing companies, the establishments that dont provide adequate parking or even the government, or we can learn to use our legs.

Personally I park somewhere for a day and then walk... Before 2-3km in a day, now around 1km na lang. People from EU find our habits so silly... Even with public transportation people just have to stop right then and there, instead of having designated loading/unloading areas and walking to these areas. Pati tawiran ganun din, there are so many people who won't be assed to hike over to a pedestrian lane or overpass.

Don't do this or you'll end up spending more than 1.5 thou. The towing firm does not give a sh*t if they tow you with your wheels locked, handbraked, in gear, etc.

I do that against car theives. Not against tow trucks. I just chain my ride to a Meralco post para hindi makuha.

Unless dinala nila ang poste with with them. :lol:
