    well,
my side mirrors are adjusted to show the sides of my vehicle.
what else should i be aiming my side mirrors at? dun sa malayo? my curved rear view mirror does that better.
    heh heh.

    what i have observed, however,
one second, wala yung motorsiklo sa side mirror view ko (dahil nasa likod ko siya),
the next second, nandun na sa side mirror ko dahil biglang inoberteyk ako at rumaragasang kakanan rin!
    talagang sinasadyang sisingit!
dun pa naman sa kantong kanto!

tama yung sinabi nung isang tsikoteer (me!): these motorcyclists think that the rest of the world stops in its tracks, as they do their thing, overtaking us.
it does not occur to them, that the cars are also moving and whatever opening the cyclists see, is an opening in flux.

    this past rainy week alone,
i almost ran into three bicycles, in three instances.
the offensive two-wheelers crossed the intersection in front of me, without even slowing down.
it was night, rain was falling, and he did not have lights.
so how could i have seen him?
but my headlights were on. so how could he not have seen me?
luckily, i was crossing the intersection slowly enough; otherwise, nagkabungguan na kami.
    "kamote motorcyclists in training?"

    apologies for the long rant.

ok sabihin natin mali ung naka motor nakahinto siya sa corner

i'm sure nakita ng kotse ung motor so why did the car turn the corner so close to the motor?

kung lampasan lang niya ng konte ung motor before turning he wouldn't get so close to the motor to trigger the incident

until we see the full video,
we will only be guessing, what really transpired.

sana naman kasi, the uploader (i suspect, the motorcyclist behind them) uploaded the full video.

we're all trying to navigate (literally and figuratively) the environment we live in

we see things aren't what they should be (like things don't work the way they're supposed to, not everyone follows the rules, etc)

we notice things are far from ideal

    so ano gagawin natin?

    mainis nalang lagi?

or we adapt to the environment and get on with our lives

maari sinadya ng kotse ipitin ung motor to communicate to the motor he shouldn't stop right at the corner

to teach the motor a lesson

    i do.
i drive more slowly thru intersections.
i consult my side mirrors, including when turning.
i try to anticipate what the other motorist is thinking.
i use my vehicle's lights in the prescribed manner.
i don't have even have the slightest full tint on my other cars' front windshield.
but there is nothing i can do, when the motorcyclist behind me chooses to swerve this way or that, and in the process, wing my bumpers. i don't even demand my pound of flesh from them.

'buti na lang, rant is cheap and permissible.

ako naman when i'm gonna turn right (into a corner or to enter a building or park in front a store) malayo palang naka signal na ako

those motor-riders always pass on the right

kahit naka signal ka na meron parin pasaway dadaan parin sa kanan

kaya i always check the side mirror

i've seen cars suddenly turn right to go into a building or store... may motor na mabilis on the right side assuming the car will keep going straight

    sapok!

    if we read the rulebook,
we might be surprised to read that filtering, those motorcycles passing in between stopped cars, is illegal.
but as no one is apprehending them...

is unfortunate, if the people tasked with upholding the law, are the ones providing examples of how to violate them.

i blame the spanish era. three hundred years of spanish rule have ingrained into juan dela cruz, to view government as the enemy that they must hoodwink every chance they get.
and government officials , those who mis-behave, give juan the continuing impetus to not change their attitude towards government, even today.
but i still believe that majority of those in government are honest. it is just, their brightness are dimmed by these dishonest officials. sabi nga nang kasabihan, "it's takes just a few rotten apples in the barrel, to cause the entire barrel to rot."

i envy other countries, where the citizens look to their government as their friend.

swerte nung Ecosport owner bopols yung Angkas rider...

easily physical injuries yan... CCTV in the area will be able to show na "tinamaan nya" leg ng driver.

I don't think the ownder of the uploaded video will waste a day or 2 of his life para tumistigo for the Ecosport.

    again, as a weekend rider...

sa dami ng motorcycle sa Pilipinas...

Isipin na lang natin how long our traffic will be if motorcycles are not allowed to pass between lanes.

On a weekend na lang, kapag nasa ride kami, bihira kami mag side by side sa isang lane. kung 10 bikes kami ang haba ng pila namin.

ang hirap kasi sa atin... ang baba ng sweldo ng Gov't officials.

Singapore ang pinaka-malaki magpa-sweldo ng Gov't officials nila, kaya yung mga taong qualified for the job, naiisip din nila magwork sa Gov't or tumakbo for public office since same lang salary nila sa Corporate world.
