Yup that's right! the proper and the right way of overtaking is in the left side but for me life is not always by the book depende kasi sa sitwasyon sir EXCEPT SA MGA TRUCKS AND BUSES WAG SANANG MAG RISK PA ANG MGA MC RIDER NA MAGOVERTAKE SA RIGHT SIDE NG MGA TRUCKS AND BUSES andami kong nakikitang gunggong na gumagawa nun inutil...

Agree. The present condition of our roads & traffic sometimes turn the 'by the book ' rules impractical with regards to 2 wheels. Sometimes , the right side is even safer even for both cars and mc.

agree with this. left dapat, kasi ang driver, nagfofocus more on the left side mirror kasi pag automobile, sa left lang talaga nagoovertake. kung didivide mo pa yung attention ng driver to both side mirrors, babawasan mo efficiency ng driver by almost 50% dahil dalawa na ang kailangan niyang bigyan ng attention.

Di ba dapat focus ka sa lahat , not just on your left mirror but all 3 mirrors .

of course, focus sa lahat. pero parang yung nagpost pagkatapos mo, malulula ka lang dahil andami mo kailangan focusan. kung inaanticipate mo na na sa left naman lahat nagoovertake ang motorista, may konti ka nang peace of mind. kesa yung anytime, pwedeng sa left pwede sa right, mas marami pwedeng mangyari.

Meron pang instance na sa 2 lane road at asa inner lane ka, doon mago overtake sa driver side tapos bubusinahan ka pa kasi naiipit na siya tatama na siya sa island. Parang ungas.

Nagda drive ako and may ganyan, pilit isinisingit ung motor niya habang clear naman sa outer lane. So pinadaan ko. Ganon din ang ginawa niya sa tricycle sa harap ko. Pinagmamasdan ko kung bakit ayaw niyang mag overtake sa outer lane. Ang kupad ng tricycle, ayaw siyang padaanin, ayaw niyang mag overtake sa outer lane, naiinip na ako, inunahan ko sila pareho ng walang kahirap hirap using the outer lane. Pagka overtake ko, gumana siguro ung brain cells ng MC rider, sumunod sa akin.

You gentlemen are entitled to your opinion. My opinion though on this matter is that the rules are there and we should live by it otherwise, we would have chaos with everyone just deciding that it is safer, easier, more convenient or whatever excuse you can think of to bend the rules for their own purposes. If the current road traffic rules are impractical, then gather enough voices and file a petition with the law making bodies to redraft it. As it is, everyone knows the correct side for overtaking is the left and so everyone expects people to follow it so when a motorcycle tries to overtake on the right, they are uneccessarily risking their lives. We should all try to minimise accidents and promote road safety for all and not think up of excuses to make driving / riding on the road more convenient for ourselves.

Nagda drive ako and may ganyan, pilit isinisingit ung motor niya habang clear naman sa outer lane. So pinadaan ko. Ganon din ang ginawa niya sa tricycle sa harap ko. Pinagmamasdan ko kung bakit ayaw niyang mag overtake sa outer lane. Ang kupad ng tricycle, ayaw siyang padaanin, ayaw niyang mag overtake sa outer lane, naiinip na ako, inunahan ko sila pareho ng walang kahirap hirap using the outer lane. Pagka overtake ko, gumana siguro ung brain cells ng MC rider, sumunod sa akin.

Kaya nga dapat sinasara mabuti yung left lane lalo na kung nandun sa may center island para dun sila sa right lane magovertake.
Kasi pag hindi mo sinagad yung left lane mo kung saan may center island dun talaga nila ipipilit idaan kase ang mind set nila may space pa para sila makasingit at makadaan sila dun.Unless malalim yung between gutter at yung asphalt road kagaya dun sa buendia makati hindi sila dadaan dun kasi cgurado semplang sila dun.Kahit tanungin mo pa sila magpapalusot lang yun at sasabihin "gusto ko dito dumaan eh."

wag naman po natin lahatin ang mga naka motor.. hindi naman po sila lahat ay magkakatulad ng attitude.. kung matino ang pag iisip natin ay dapat natin unawaain sila kahit ano pa man ang attitude nila sa kalsada.. kung hindi maganda at bastos ang rider na nakakasalamuha nyo.. haan nyo nalang sila mauna o makalayo sainyo.. hindi tama yung papatulan sila at babanggain..

Sa congressional-mindanao ave stop light turning left..

Meron isang motor galing sa mindanao ave then nag counter flow sa harap ko then harap sa kalsada.. Akala ko didirecho papumtang cherry.. Then nag green na yung left turn, ayaw ng motor umabante.. Busina ako ng busina then umamdar sha ng mabagal then binilisan niya.. Pero biglang nag stop!! Baaaaam!! Yupi ang gulong niya & basag basag tail light niya.. Swerte niya hindi siya tumalsik.. Hindi ko binabaan, direcho pa din ako..

nabasa ko lang po kasi ang post naito.. although hindi nya sinasadya dapat hinintuan nya pa din yung rider para i check kung ok..

sinasabi ko lang na wag nyo patulan ang mga driver at riders na hind maganda ang attitude sa kalsada kung yun ang pinapakita satin..

madami din ako na experience na mga Riders na talaga nakaka inis kung minsan lalo na yung bigla ka nalang i ka-cut na hindi nila alam kapag nabangga sila talo sila dahil mismong sila ang titilapon.. pero meron din naman mga Riders na madisiplina sa Daan..

sir let's not forget that Motorcycles are more affordable than Cars.. educated or not can buy motorcycle and Ride the streets.. so expect na talagang mas madami ang undisciplined riders..
