There should be a law where the motorist is given a reward if you run over a jaywalking pedestrian... Bonus points pa if they're texting or wearing earphones!!!!

That would be the day....open season for hitting pedestrians....

I go through CM Recto daily, and these jaywalkers move by packs. If someone braves the crossing even if the signs tell them to stop, susunod mga sa likod and dire-diretso na sila, causing heavy traffic more often than not.

There should be some sort of shame campaign to teach these people a lesson.

Oh, and what's worse than jaywalkers texting? Those riding bikes or motorcycles AND texting.

wow ginagawa ko rin yan, o kaya yung mga nasa gitna naglalakad tapos kakilala ko hwekhwek yung mga iba nababato nila cellphone sa gulat haha!

i remember an incident when I was in HK or macau about a year ago... a Filipina died crossing the street because she was busy with her phone. di napansin go na pala yung cars.

ganito nga dapat gawin, mas maganda kung busina mo parang busina ng truck at sa gulat nng nagtetext eh mabibitawan yung cellphone at matatauhan sa katangahan ng ginagawa nya.
