I figured they would say that.. but it doesn't affect me becasue I know I am right and that they are wrong. In fact, a few months later, I had a few RTU students who became OJTs in my company... in my department at that! I used the opportunity to lecture them about road safety and how pedestrians should cross the street, hehehe!

On the other side of the coin, marami rin drivers who dont know how to give way to pedestrians crossing on the designated pedestrian crossings.
I was crossing Valero St. in Makati once and the cars stopped to let us cross. When we were crossing, some idiot motorbike speeds through and almost hit several of us.

February 23rd, 2011 02:53 PM #27It seems that pedestrians don't really care at the big signboards that say BAWAL TUMAWID MAY NAMATAY NA DITO. Since they are turning a blind eye at those signboards, I hope MMDA will attention it to drivers and change it to PAG MAY TUMAWID DITO SAGASAAN NIYO. Let's see if they will still not read that.
If they don't like to read, let the drivers do the reading for them.

Garapal kasi mga tao dito, both motorist and pedestrian.
Vicious cycle.

jaywalking resulting to damage to property plus severe physical injury kasi pagkatapos nya kasi mabangga yung lalaki tumama sya sa pader tumama ulo nya sa windshield.
Yun kulong ang nabangga nya.

I oftentimes feel stupid when crossing the street and the stop light is on red and everyone still crosses (when there are few or no cars) while I get left behind. My mindset is that cars or no cars, I need to follow the stop light no matter what. After all, as a motorist, I also respect the stop light when it is on red even if the road in front of me is empty.
Is this no longer taught in our schools? No wonder people have no respect for traffic rules
Ang tagal na ibinalita yang ban. Tapos warning pa ang ginawa first few days. Yung mga nahuli pa...
