I wonder if this is just "Road Rage", maybe there is another angle about this event that we're missing.

No matter what arguments we have here, there's only one word for this incident: KARMA. Yun lang yun.
The elder Ebarle paid too much for his acts 2 years ago. His "victim/s" were already vindicated by this incident. It seems "destiny" is faster than our justice system.

These kinds of guys don't know when to back off. And they won't just kill other hotheaded guys... remember the idiot who killed the woman in traffic at the cemetery?

Take him out back and shoot him in the back of the head. The world will be a safer place then...

That Jason Ivler person has now made it to ABS CBN news: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/me...fied-dangerous

He should be thrown in jail and gang-raped by all the prisoners.
+1, no one deserves to be shot, no matter how much of an asshole he or she is at the wheel, or for whatever reason for that matter!

Galing nga mag-research ng mga Tsikoteers, ang daming baho na naungkat. Grabe from 2004 threat na pala siya. I now recall the incident that crazy Ivler guy figured in that killed the Mr. Ponce (senseless talaga).

Basta may pera at connections you can get away with murder. I wonder baket hindi siya natatakot when in fact yung mga na-agrabyado niya have the capacity to take justice into their own hands (i.e. hire a killer, yung tatay pa ang puputok ng baril tsk tsk). I hope the cops get him and he gets gang-raped in prison.

So the son deserves to die for the sins of the father? If your great grandfather bastardized the sister of your neighbor's great grandfather, do you deserve to die because of it? That's the kind of thinking that causes war to go on and on ad nauseum in the Middle East and Mindanao. The statute of limitations for criminal acts begin and end with the criminal. Children can't choose who their parents are.

I suppose it would be justice for the shooter's eventual granddaughter (if he lives long enough to have one) to be shot in cold blood, also?

Be very careful when using the words "Karma" in relation to the death of an innocent. If they aren't murderers themselves, it doesn't apply.

That's actually called "Standard Operating Procedure" for our police. Shoot first. Make excuses / alibis / cover-ups / frame-ups later.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Loko loko pala talaga ito. Dapat i-shoot to kill na agad.

Road rage killer same suspect in Palace exec's death in 2004

MANILA - The suspect in the road rage killing of a Malacañang official's son on Wednesday night has been involved in a 2004 vehicular accident that left a presidential adviser dead.

Readers of abs-cbnNEWS.com reacting to the story ADB staff's son involved in Ebarle killing classified 'dangerous'" said Jason Ivler was involved in a deadly car accident that killed Nestor Ponce Jr., an adviser of President Arroyo, on August 2004.

In his comment, reader anony provided the news site a link on a story of the honoluluadvertiser.com, which reported that Ivler, then 22 years old and a psychology student of Hawaii Pacific University, was accused of reckless homicide due to the deadly car accident.

Another reader with sign in name TomC3 said Ivler was actually a stepson of British senior economist Stephen Pollard of the Asian Development Bank and a Filipina named Marlene Aguilar, who is allegedly a sister of Filipino folk singer Freddie Aguilar.

A Philippine National Police (PNP) press statement issued August 2004 said Ivler was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide for Ponce's death.

Reports said Ivler, who was then out on bail, was nabbed in Zamboanga City with two police escorts while trying to catch a ferry bound for Malaysia. The attempt to leave the country with a pending criminal case prompted the Bureau of Immigration to issue an order preventing him from leaving the country.

Reports added that Ivler was driving a Land Cruisier with diplomatic plate number 23370 during the accident, which happened on C-5 Ortigas flyover in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City.

    'Armed and dangerous'

In a statement on Friday, PNP chief Jesus Verzosa has ordered the Aviation Security Group to join the hunt for Ivler, who went missing after allegedly shooting dead Renato Victor Evbarle Jr., son of Undersecretary Renato Ebarle who works for the Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff.

Ebarle died of three gunshot wounds in the body. He was found slumped on the driver's seat of his Toyota Land Cruiser along Boni Serrano Avenue in Quezon City, Wednesday night.

Investigators said Ivler got irked and shot Ebarle three times after a traffic altercation.

Verzosa said he included the aviation group in the search because Ivler might again attempt to leave the country.

He added that the police's closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed around Metro Manila have also been on the lookout for Ivler, who is believed to be still in possession of a Honda CRV 1998 model with diplomatic plate number 20903.

"Ivler's movement is being closely monitored thru the NCRPO's (National Capital Region Police Office) network of CCTV cameras installed in strategic locations around Metro Manila," Verzosa said.

Chief Superintendent Elmo San Diego, Quezon City Police District chief, said in a report to Verzosa that Ivler's stepfather was expected to appear before his office on Friday morning.

San Diego said Pollard has promised to help the police look for his stepson.

The police official said they have information that Ivler is still in Metro Manila on board the diplomatic vehicle. He said the suspect is believed to be in possession of a .45 pistol and has been "classified dangerous."

Police believe it was the same gun used by Ivler in Ebarle's shooting.

Verzosa said a check with the records of the Firearms and Explosives Division showed that there was no such firearm licensed under Ivler's name.
