    Exactly. If the original plate was stolen, the owner could request a newer plate in place of the stolen one so he can still legally have the vehicle registered, rather than duplicating the old one.

    Try not to jump to conclusions. The previous but similar thread about the newer Camry with old plates would be ideal for posting here but not this.

    Bwahahaha! Nice one.

    Seriously, you could think about a lot of reasons for this situation. However, for a new car having old plates, it is hard to think about valid reasons for that.

    parehas kami nyan... lumang odyssey ang ride ko pero ang plate ay x ang start. dating blue ang plates nya tapos binenta na ng embassy kaya nung registration dito sa pilipinas, yung current series ng plates ang issue nila. akala ko rin nung una ay ginogoyo ako nung nabilhan ko pero meron kasamang papers na returned na yung blue plates at issued na ang regular plates.

    I saw a white 1st gen Mistu Adventure along Roxas Blvd southbound a few days ago. Plate number was Z something sporting a brand new-looking conduction sticker. Either it's a robber's AUV or Mitsu still sells 1st gen Adventures?!

    may 1st gen adventures pa for taxi use.

    i think misleading kasi yung title ng thread. Dyan sa may Roxas Blvd, sa may parking ng DFA, madami diyang mga lumang cars, pero x at z series ang mga plates, yan kasi yung mga gamit ng returning pinoy diplomats abroad.
