not everyone who owns a vehicle passes by either expressway on a daily or weekly, no - make that monthly basis. ako personally i make around 2-3 round trips on NLEx and 5-6 round trips on SLEx annually. and those are peak seasons pa.

waiting in line for 1-3 minutes everytime i use the expressways is more efficient that purchasing those tags which costs thousands. iba pa ang tags ng north at south.

BUT if i can use the same tag to use the LRT/MRT system maybe i'd consider buying one. hehehe

i dont remember any senator complaining about the NLEx traffic during the centenary of the INC.
your hehehe is actually what i had in mind. an octopus card of sorts.. a debit card..
it just needs someone high enough upstairs, or with a lot of foresight.. maybe it hasn't yet dawned on them that a few centavos multiplied by a million isn't chickenfeed anymore..

some credit card companies are already eyeing this and is part of the long term plans and will use rfid of sorts.

madami nga lang kailangan pa gawin kasi wala pang schemes.

pwede din yan iintwgrate sa buses and jeeps. pati taxi... para mapwersa sumunod... makatulong din to keep colorum out and helps in tax efforts since mahirap itago yan pag nasa system...

is this the plan to integrate the 3 light rails?

an NFC/RFID combo tag that can be reloaded using your credit card or online blah blah should suffice. something you can use for the following:

    - LRT, MRT, PNR
    - NLEx, SLEx, SCTEx, TPLEx, Cavitex, Coastal Rd, Skyway 1-3
    - various parking bldgs and spaces
    - taxicabs! parang uber. =)

kumbaga instead of swiping your CC, you use a prepaid/preloaded RFID (which would also be from your credit card provider). pabor sa credit card companies, pwede ma-check online ang done transactions, pwede magload ng amount na need mo depende sa frequency of use. ano pa ba? hehe

sa tingin ko mahirap to i-implement sa bus and jeep kasi parang mga langgam ang pasahero nila. sakay-baba kung saan saan.

Integrate the north and south expressways.

here in au optional ang epass, but all major highways lahat may sensors and camera..pag wala kang etag you will be charge triple, but within 3days kailangan mo ireport para yung normal charge lang...yung etag mo may $40 load...pag naubos it will automatically widraw from your nominated bank account..hassle free..no traffic sa mga toll boot...btw callcentre pala is from PH..hehehe..tumawag kasi ako before to report na may sira epass ko...

Toll-free holidays eyed to avoid congestion at tollgates | Inquirer News
