had a run-in also with a new adventure last nov 2017. I came from baguio and reached balintawak in crawl mode for almost an hour southbound. when the road opened and most of us gave our cars arangkada, this advie from the right just explosively cut in without any sort of signal and I almost hit him. Binusinahan ko sya non stop. nung tumigil ulit sa traffic light at nag side by side kami, e parang wala lang sa kanya. hinayaan ko lang syempre. you dont know who's driving whatever their car is and that you don't know if they are also loaded. so keeping cool is still the best practice to reach your destination safely and for sure you will live another day.. or else ani nga ni FPJ "hindi ka na sisikatan ng araw"!

I never had road rage when I commuted over there. I don't mind dirty and muddy streets or waiting in the rain or the smell of trash. Those wash away when I take a shower.

But, driving and putting up with frustration day in and day out? It builds up with no relief in sight. Unfortunately, it takes its toll both physically and mentally. I watched my dad drive on Philippine streets. He was a gentle guy. Driving there was the only time he ever cussed and got angry.

One observation lang, andami ding aggressive (at epal magmaneho) na mga lady drivers diyan sa daan...

Ika nga ni Onizuka Sensei: "Bad people can be either male or female in my book!"

I agree 100%. And I think kamote lady drivers are worse than male ones. Feeling kasi nila hindi sila papatulan. It happened to me several times, aggressive lady drivers WITHOUT provocation. I have extremely dark tint so they probably assume that I am a guy. If I were a teenager, papatulan ko talaga mga yan. But now that I am older and very careful about being caught on video, I just let these btches and jerks have their way on the road.

Looks like texting/calling while driving is an international phenomenon. Saw it in the US, Japan and Malaysia.

Ha! try nyo drive dito sa China when almost all drivers akala cutting lanes are OK, but lately, pansin ko dito, daming taga middle eastern who drives very aggressive and they drive high end cars pa, meron a few weeks ago, nabundol ng isang middle eastern ang isang 70yo who's crossing the street, sa sobrang bilis ng takbo ng car, lumipad yung matanda nung nabundol nya, I heard they paid the family 3M rmb para di lng mag demanda ang family ng matanda.

cutting or changing lanes is fine. if someone cuts me ill let them do it safely. no need for me to inch too near them.

if i change lanes, I make sure the overtaken is surprised [emoji28]

Mas masama pa rin daw sa India. IIRC they even have that special court exclusively for road accidents.

Sometimes I think dapat may psych exam din before being issued/renewed ang DL. Come to think of it, if you need to prove emotional maturity/stability to be allowed to have a gun, what more to operate a ton of steel capable of moving at 100kph or more?

I own firearms, but home defence weapons lang sila. I never bring them sa car*. What kind of insecure person would need to carry such things around na hindi naman ito Afghanistan or Somalia? Tapos ang high powered (45 cal++) pa! If you have a lot of threats to your safety, magisip-isip ka bakit madaming bwisit sa iyo at baka ikaw ang may problema right? Kahit sino pa tayo dapat marunong/matuto makisama.

*except to bring them to the range, and naka gun-lock yung triggers tapos yung mga keys kay “kummander” ko as additional safeguard. . Not that she doesn't trust me, pero di ba nga kahit sa movies, 2-3 people ang may hawak ng part ng combination ng nuclear launch codes? LOL
