Parang yung LRT operator na may gamit na cellphone kaya bumangga yung tren...there are reasons why cellphone usage is not allowed on planes...I'd hate to be on that particular flight na busted yung mga "Mythbusters".

nako nakakasabay na ko ng mga ganiyan every flight ko sa cebu pacific din. yung recent ko was travel to and from korea last dec 2010 and feb 2011, mukang call center agents na bumibyahe abroad. di ko masabi kung frequent flyer / traveller. di ko naman kasi mamukaang rich or sobrang rich. di naman sa minamaliit ko mga cc agents and no offense to any pero nakakainis lang makakita talaga ng mga violators, kahit napaka simpleng rule lang naman ang pag patay ng cellphone for a few hours, di pa magawa! di naman sila mamamatay kapag na off cellphone nila while travelling for ilang hours lang naman!
buhay naman din kasi namin yung nakasalalay kapag nagka emergency dahil sa kasalanan nila if ever something happens due to the fault of their gadgets. tsaka yung mga tao kasing yun na nakasabay ko mga feeling rich ang dating at ang aarte mag salita (pag narinig niyo lang, we all know how a decent and proper agent talks). yung porma parang jejemon naman. sa gadgets lang nila ako nagagandahan pero sa porma at muka hindi. a group of gays and girls yun. parang nag travel just to brag their gadgets and capability makarating ng ibang bansa due to their money...

sana punishable ito that could lead to, atleast, imprisonment. i'm not against your talks about that myth on cellphones while on board a plane, kayo na bahala diyan. but ang gusto ko lang eh tamang asal at pag sunod sa batas man lang. simpleng request lang naman kasi yun di pa magawa. remember, nakikisakay lang tayo and those planes are not ours, kahit nagbayad ka, they still have the authority dahil you are under their area of responsibilities, plane, premises and etc.

I've been traveling both locally and internationally and sad to say, it's so embarassing to see your fellow countrymen do stupid things inside the airplane. The two worst offenses are the use of mobile phones on takeoff and landing, and the ignoring of the seatbelt on sign. There are others also, such as pocketing of eye shades, flight safety instruction boards, utensils, and even toiletries.

But I agree... We all should follow the rules no matter how mundane or simplistic-sounding these are. It's what guarantees order and safety when things go awry. Look at Fukushima... Don't you all agree that the Japanese are very laudable in their stoic discipline despite all the chaos around them?

Yup, though I was refering to those pocketing eye shades left by other passengers... Not really breaking the rule but still seems embarassing. An expat officemate, a Brit, actually asked me about this and I made an excuse about souvenirs and mementos.

    BTT

The same Brit also remarked that you'd know who the Filipinos are on the plane because they're the first ones to stand up and start opening the overhead baggage bins upon landing... Even while the plane is still taxiing towards its dock.

Nope. But he is married to a Pinay for the past ten years and it never fails to amaze him how automatic her reflexes are (and her relatives' too) in such a situation

I actually see the same things and I find it amusing... Though it could get exasperating at times like when a big burly Pinoy guy lost his balance as the plane coasted to a stop, and he accidentally hit me on the face with his knapsack.

I myself prefer to stay put and stand up at the last moment when most of the passengers have left as I don't like joining the jostling of the crowds.
