The idea of trunk inspections to ward off potential trouble makers is essentially passe. Any terrorist worth his salt will just drive an empty vehicle, but the bombs would be packed within the doors and seats. Perhaps there would be three or four of them coming in at different times, but at slightly early hours to be able to pick better parking slots. Then, position the cars near the main foundations of the building and go boom.

Trunk inspections are nothing but fully for show to make people think that a security and safety process is in place.

Yung mga sekyu sa Trinoma --- sobrang galing ng inspection skills nila. Biruin mo, kailangan lang nila buksan ng 1 inch yung trunk mo, tapos isasara na? In that short span of time, the sekyu was able to inspect the contents of the trunk! :D

right to privacy? same as checkpoints, di tayo dapat bumaba, nor pumasok sila sa loob for further inspection. malamang sa checkpoint nila na-pattern yang ganyag procedure, given that some, if not most security agencies were police/military personnel.

Wala ba assigned to assess / review yung security procedures ng public establishments?

Imagine, kung desidido kang terorista o maghasik ng lagim will you just put it right smack in the middle of your trunk? Or dun sa gilid gilid ng ilalim ng oto mo? Itatago mo diba?

Body frisking too, will anyone put a weapon sa bewang nila? Eh yun lang ang kinakapkap eh.

Wasted efforts lang sa security personnels, hahaba lang pila papasok ng mall / parking.

Parking guards that don't know how to close the trunk/doors properly...
