    I'm glad I read this. Halos lahat pa naman ang pinapayo sa mga forum at fb group e singilin ng participation at i-claim as own damage sa insurance.

    iba naman yung sa akin noon... agreed na kami sa police report na sasagutin lahat ng nakabangga ang cost ng repair sa casa. humingi ako ng down payment para maumpisahan yung repair at nagbigay naman pero cheque lang.
    bago ko ipalit yung cheque na binigay ay tumawag muna ako sa nakabangga, sabi sa akin cash na lang daw ang ibibigay.
    pumayag ako tapos ang inutusan na lang ay yung katulong nila dala ang 25k cash as down payment daw (total damage =57k). sensing something wrong... kinuha ko yung cash at hindi ko ibinigay ang cheque. afterwards, tumawag ako sa aking insurance giving them all the police report, 25k cash at "talbog na cheque" at sabi ko bahala na kayo maghabol sa nakabangga sa akin.
    hindi na ako siningil ng participation ng aking insurance at wala din akong balita sa nakabangga sa akin kung hinabol nila o hindi.

    Doc, remember the thread were the TS was hit and he asked for participation then came clean with his insurance (commonwealth). His claim was denied because he took settlement money in for of participation
