Tama po si Cult 0. Wala po dine-deduct sa account. If you close your account you can get back your 100 pesos. This is just a safety mechanism para di mag-fall below sa 100 pesos ang balance otherwise mako-close automatic during month-end. Actually, you can go zero balance anytime except during month-end dahil automatic ito kino-close ng system pag balance below 100. Nangyari na rin ito sakin at ipinaliwanag sakin ng BDO.

it really depends on your company's policies. where i work you can have your payroll credited directly to your existing savings account as long as its maintained in the same bank (where the company sends all the payroll). if you don't have an existing account with the same bank, you are required to open one with them.
BTTT (to threadstarter):
We also have to maintain a 100php maintaining balance. In the your case, what probably happened is that all Equi Accounts are subject to BDO's standard policies.
It's really up to your HR to negotiate the new terms and conditions with BDO. Your HR might be have been already informed about (and agreed to) any changes due the merging of the two banks. BTW, It's also up to your HR to inform you about these things..

thanks sa mga replies. ill just accept it because it's BDO's policy.
malay ko ba diba?
di naman ganun dati ang term with former EPCIB.
yup mali nga yun title but it appeared something like that dati when out of nowhere biglang makikita mong 100 bucks deducted ang available balance mo at kaka-merge lang ng 2 banks.
the sudden change or deduction was very surprising. kahit 100 lang yun, you wont get it easily. 25 cents nalang napupulot sa daan, minsanan pa.

Errr... jundogg why don't you try to call up either EPCIB or BDO regarding this matter?
From my experience, my queries with both banks before were answered by their customer care representative.
Do also try to contact your HR, if you had the time to post this in Tsikot, then a phone call or email to your HR dep't wouldn't require that much time either. Plus that's what they are for!
