Peace to all.

September 2nd, 2011 12:50 PM #36just because something is beneficial doesn't mean it has to be broadcast and used every second of the day. i think coffee has its benefits. do you see everyone(i.e. kids) being taught to drink coffee all the time at an early age? kung nagkakape yung teacher ng anak ko, tuturuan ba nya ng sapilitan yung anak ko? pagbabaunan ko ba ng kape araw-araw yung anak ko? pagmamalaki ko ba yung teacher na nagturo sa anak ko na magkape? ganun pala ka-automatic yun, di ko nalang papagaral anak ko. also, anything in excess is bad.

September 2nd, 2011 02:34 PM #37Agree. Illegal is illegal - if you don't agree with the law, then go ahead and advocate to have it changed; but until it is changed, it is the law, and should be followed. Civilization exists because society, as a majority (either directly or via representation) decides on norms and rules - codified into laws - that all should abide by. Subjectively deciding that it's ok to break a law because you don't agree with it only leads to chaos and anarchy.
(For what it's worth, I do agree that marijuana is no more dangerous - maybe even less so - than tobacco and alcohol. Nonetheless, that does not change the fact that at the moment, it is illegal to use marijuana in the Philippines.)

September 2nd, 2011 03:05 PM #38fair enough. what i'm concerned about is that i don't want these kids to be jailed (or harrassed by pigs) for a non-violent "crime". i know some people who have been through the hassle of getting caught for just smelling like weed but had none on them. one was even caught by THE Rolando Mendoza and yes, they were extorted. there are other far worse crimes that we should be worried about.

September 2nd, 2011 03:53 PM #40buying and owning pirated movies and music is illegal, serving alcohol and cigarettes to minors is illegal, prostitution is illegal. the way you got your non-pro is probably illegal. yet i don't see all of us in jail.
Maraming Salamat :)
