We know that people from the Government are ahole but not all of them, so don't be like them. That should come first.

    Otherwise its time to quit.

Pero siyempre they also want to clear those things. It's their right to do so.

And then go back to the real issue which is the death of the victims.

nobody's saying na wala dapat gawin mga volunteers to clear their names, there's actaully process for that, volunteers have all the rights to do so, but not in the expense of the citizens of Makati. that's just my point.

wala naman sila kinalaman sa away ng mayor nila eh. huwag niyo tulungan yun affluent community ng makati. walang problema doon although mali kung tutuusin they can afford to hire or they might even have their own fire trucks. pero paano yun mga mahihirap ng makati? isn't that what the core of volunteering? to help yun mga walang kakayahan sa buhay?

I mean most of us here can afford to go to private hospitals and pay the fees but yun mga mahihirap they can't afford that umaasa sila sa gov't or sa mga private volunteers. if all the volunteers doctor and other medical crew stop servicing yun mahihrap, sino ba ma apektuhan, tayo ba na kayang magbayad ng private doctors or sila?

if you're not going to do what you have signed up for then better for the volunteers to stop doing it altogether huwag niyo na rin tulungan LAHAT ng sunod sa lahat ng cities...by not responding to a fire as a sign of protest, it defeated the purpose of volunteering.

yeah meron nagsabi hinde naman kayo binabayaran, thankless job, etc..but nobody forces you to signed up to be volunteers, from the get go alam niyo na ganyan ang volunteers. meron pa nagpost na kayo pa masama lumalabas, eh ganun talaga lumalabas dahil binubuhos niyo yun galit niyo sa mga taong walang kinalaman at walang kalaban laban...ibuhos yun galit niyo kay Binay. puntahan niyo yun bahay niya doon kayo mag hose down or pag yun bahay niya nasusunog huwag niyon pansinin. if that is the case people might understand, but again if you do that. wala ng karapatan pa kayong tawagin "volunteers"

we all know wala kayong bayad, pakain lang at least kila eng bee tin libre pagkian sa chuang kee. but the people you were able to help I'm sure are very thankful dahil andyan kayo, your selfless act are appreciated by the people.

what I';m trying to say eh volunteers should never pull out the cards about not being paid, thankless job etc...kung ganayan mentality ng mga volunteers better for them to stop doing this all together.

Sir wala talagang hose down na sinasabi. Water salute iyon. Iniiba lang ng makati para magmukhang masama. Wala pong law na nagbabawal nun or naglilimit ng paggamit niya.

And for the record hindi namin kalaban ang mayor. We are also considering that aspect. Yep, no one is forcing volunteers. If ayaw na nila everyone can just go back to their day jobs.

Well sana maayos na tong gusot na to. Help to those who are in need should always be the top priority.

Bugoy's family can always pursue a criminal case against the police involved and the officers of the brigade always have the right to clear their name on the incident.

Yes. Kahit ngayon na ongoing pa ang wake, he still takes time to go out para subukan itama kung ano mang mali ang ibinabalita ng media about volunteers by going to the appropriate government agencies.

Makati to file case against fire volunteer-hooligans
    Posted: 2012-Apr-10 | 17.30.06 UTC +0800

The City of Makati and Makati Philippine National Police will file charges against members of volunteer fire groups who assaulted a police precinct in Makati during the Holy Week.

Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay condemned the "anarchy" that followed when a group of 100 volunteer fire fighters stormed Makati Police Precinct No. 3 demanding justice for their slain member last April 5, 2012. The group deflated the police station's car, scratched its body with a pointed object and smashed the tail lights, and even trained a water canon at the precinct's glass window.

"Mananagot ang dapat managot. The city will not tolerate such irresponsible actions from these volunteers. They should be upholding the law, not violating it. We respect their right to express their sentiments, but we will not tolerate destruction of government property and acts of hooliganism," Mayor Binay said.

"This is not only an assault on a precinct, this is an assault on the city," he said.

The mayor ordered city police chief P/Superintendent Jaime O. Santos to file necessary charges against those responsible for the assault. The volunteers were onboard 20 firetrucks, 15 motorcycles and private vehicles when they conducted a rally calling for justice to one Ronald Infante who was allegedly slain in an encounter with the elements of PNP Precinct 3.

The group turned their fire trucks sirens and mounted water canons in front of Makati Central Police Station at about 11 a.m., last Maundy Thursday. Following a dialog with the chief of police, they proceeded to Precinct 3 where they occupied Evangelista and P. Santos streets in Barangay Bangkal shouting invectives at policemen. They also vented their ire on a parked police vehicle before dispersing upon seeing responding policemen. They punctured the tires, scratched the body, broke the tail lights and windshield and pumped water inside the vehicle.

A police report took note of the names inscribed on the fire trucks which took part in the protest.

These included the Severino, Tayabas, Batangas Fire Volunteers Association; Alyansa Fire Volunteers; Baclaran Fire Volunteers; Central Tondo Volunteers; Sampaloc Volunteers; Metro Pumper; LPGMA Malabon; West Tondo; Sta. Cruz, Escolta; Brgy. Talipapa; Rusty Lopez Fire Volunteers; Marikina Fil-Chinese; Gotesco; Golden Pumper San Juan; Dapitan Pumper; Dee Hwaleong; Malabon, Potrero and Metro Volunteer.

Kami yung Metro Volunteer. =) wala namang water cannon iyon kasi nissan urvan yun saka medic at ako lang ang sakay. Medical escort kami ng pamilya.

Ok lang if magsampa siya ng kaso. Karapatan niya yun. Kami din ang medical team sa libing.

Hindi sir. Wala akong nakitang ube. They have their reasons and no one is compelling them to do things they dont want.

Dilg secretary has already declared makati city open to all volunteer units. Any harassment made by the makati city government or police shall be reported to them.
