In fact, if you will visit the Toyota showrooms today, they don't entertain you much anymore. Granting na mahigpit talaga ang law of supply-and-demand, a Toyota Management Executive should atleast try to show some customer service by assessing how they can speed up the delivery, instead yung ginawa nung isa na gloating pa siya while being interviewed by the media na hinahabol-habol daw sila ng mga tao para mauna sila sa pila!

The actual list can be easily manipulated, especially when there are customers who are volunteering to bribe a car dealer para mauna lang sila. How would you ever know?

In the States 'pre, if you are going to wait this long, they will throw you some freebies for keeping you waiting. Dito sa Pinas, you will get exploited. If you just keep quiet while in line, the number of people ahead of you will keep increasing without your knowledge kahit pang No.25 ka pa rin.

That's the point sir. How will you know din kung dinadaya ka ng dealer? Common give Toyota a break. If you think na talagang dinadaya ka sa pila ng dealer entertaining those behind you just because they can shell out more money or pay higher interest, go make a complaint to Toyota management. They are located at GT Tower sa Ayala. But if haka haka lang yan, give them the benefit of the doubt naman.

    Bear in mind that:

    1. You're not the only one who noticed the Fortuner
    2. You're not the only one who placed a reservation for the Fortuner
    3. You're not the only one who now has to wait for the Fortuner

which explains the backlog now. Toyota is harassing you with ridiculous in-house insurance and financing fees in exchange for a shorter waiting time. So what else is new? When something as highly-anticipated as the Fortuner is announced, expect it to bring out the worst treatment from a dealer. I'm betting that certain customers will even sell their souls ten times over just to get their own Fortuners as early as right now. It's not the right thing, but that's just how it is; we learn to deal with it. Surely you weren't born yesterday as to act naively about it now. Like I mentioned in another thread, learn from the lessons of the Picanto.

But tell you what: you don't have to put up with that madness. I laud your decision to assert your rights as a consumer, and part of those rights is freedom of choice. Either you walk away and let karma descend upon Toyota for their unscrupulous practices, or you can rant about it until you turn blue, mamamatay ka lang sa kunsumisyon, when there are other brands and models out there. You may not like them as much as the Fortuner, but at least hindi ka tatagain ng mga dealer nila.

Since you are already armed with this information, I trust that you are now more enlightened than many Fortuner owners-in-waiting out there, and will now therefore act accordingly.

boycott? hehe... probably will be fruitless. If people are willing to wait for their fortuner, it's none of our business.

But if you're not, there are many alternatives. the fortuner is not the only competent SUV in the market.

There are stil other brands out there to choose from. You won't die from not getting a Fortuner. Give it a few months, iba na ang magiging uso.
