The bus terminal is only a 20 minute walk from your home? Too far... take a trike.

    My 2 cents...
I second the motion, you hit the nail right on its head. Sakto, instead of us fuming mad everytime we see irritating jeepneys and trikes, we should train ourselves and encourage other to boycott these public pests. Eventually, with lesser of them crowding the streets, it will be healthier and more secured. Less of them means less criminally inclined drivers of jeeps and trikes and less pollution emitted from their minimally maintained vehicles.

Easy fellas. Easy for us to say these things because were are not in their situation. Ever thought how these "pests" as you call it see us, people with cars? "Criminal", "salot" and "pest" are such harsh words. Well, for the sake of conversation perhaps one categorize all of the following as "criminals", "salot" and/or "pests":

    1. Motorcycle drivers that zig-zag like crazy on streets, straddle the "middle lane" of the rode close enough to scratch a fende, or perform counterflows.
    2. Private cars with illegal sirens and blinkers that bully their way on the road.
    3. Car owners that seem to get a kick of destroying the peace and tranqulity of a quiet evening by playing loud, earsplitting music.
    4. Car drivers who act like taxi drivers by snaking through the whole expanse of the road (yet pag nasingitan or na-cut, galit.

We can enumerate a ton more.

All I'm saying is that let's be careful on how we...categorize people. For all you know, they also categorize us private vehicle owners. Go easy.

    Peace.

Guess, I'm just letting of some steam after a very recent altercation with this type of fellow human beings. I've been to many experiences dealing with this kind of people and each one reinforces the notion that they do have verly little concern for other motorists and that they almost always make a bare face lie and even turn against you with most ridiculous counter accusations. I've gone as far as filing criminal complaints against a few ( one a taxi driver driving 30-40 kph in a school zone in violation of a clearly one way street almost killed my very young son). Some have sought my advise on how to go about unnecessary loss of their loved ones because some of these people were either just having fun with their public utility vehicles or "dumidiskarte" to get one or two more passengers (a few pesos for a human life).

But you are right, they are God's precious creation in His likeness and in His image, even. They are just like us, prone to failures and foibles. Who are we to condemn them. Judge not so that we may not be judged, the Lord Himself have said so.

Malawak ang pinag-aralan nating mga pinoy, for a long time the most educated, even, in the whole of Asia. What have our education brought us to? Our country is going to the dogs, but bad thing about it is that these dogs are highly educated. And worst of all these educated dogs walk among us.

With all the bickerings going on in our society. It has become us against them, pro vs. anti anything, the poor against the rich, the haves against the have nots, the public utility drivers vs. the private car owners. We do have a very divided nation but also very confused. The jeepney driver may be your friendly neighbour, the poor guy maybe your ready help in times of trouble, the rich tax evader also provides scholarships for the poor etc, etc. The squatters or informal settlers are no longer all criminals (Lina law made that sure, decriminalizing the act of taking away other peoples property) or else branding them as such will have some firm legal basis. And more importantly many of them maybe fathers or brothers who have sent theri children or siblings to universities.

In this nation of scoff laws, where law enforcers are the first on the crime scenes as perpetrators, where lawmakers are notorious lawbreakers who are we to now label other as criminals, pest and salots. We are all in the same leaking and sinking boat, MV/ RP and most of the able bodied and minded rats have been abandoning us ever since the first few leaks became apparent.

Anyway, just letting off some steam or is it more of fumes.

Abad santos area daming pasaway...minsan counter-flow pa.

Nag-maneho na rin ako since si Marcos pa ang presidente so I think I have had more of my share of minor and a few major accidents compared to you.

Like I said, okay lang ang magalit. Natural sa tao yan. Kahit naman ako nagagalit, considering na I'm a guy na mahaba talaga ang pasensya. Okay pag-sabihan or kagalitan.

    Peace.

In a way or another, they somehow deserve to be in such a situation.

Ako binangga ako, days after my car was delivered, tinakbuhan pa ko. Mga hampaslupa sila. They don't even deserve to exist.
