Kodak Pro Lab sila tapos yun paper Kodak Endura.

anyway, sir otep, kung gusto mo mabilisan try mo yun mga Kodak Picture maker nila. yun yun sinasabi ko Kodak Xtralife paper, kung gusto mo mabilis with borders/frames pa. in 1 minute kuha mo na. you can also perform some minor editing yourself sa touch screen nila.

the machine is very popular among cellphones users. yun tipong pina-print nila yun mga laman ng memory nila at 4-in-1 or 9-in-1 4R. yun sulit kasi low megapixels lang naman nokia phones.

yun nga lang mas mahal yun 4R price compared to minilabs. that's price of speed hehehe

Pati ugali ng employees, old school!

I used to hire the large format printer of Pixel something printing shop in Megamall thousands of years ago for highres magazine quality jobs, and they usually print it out initially using varied mediums for me to choose from. The price may be steep but when you go past beyond A3/ A2 size, or go for art displays with 400dpi they may be the right folks to go to. Best bang for the buck during those times, although I'm not sure what the quality of work and service they produce now but theoretically they would've improve some more considering their wealth of experience.

Tiff images can retain the no of pixels under compression, but the output's quality is usually darker as compared with JPEG's. JPEG may have that lossy compressed look in the past but with the modern JPEG compression nowadays and using the Highest quality settings found in modern digital cameras, scanners or Photoshop--is essentially visually lossless if editing was used only once on an image. It's safe to use JPEG for some quality work.

Most of the little printing shops locally don't use OEM stock paper and ink and instead they use the other supplier's for obvious reasons. PIY booths are included. You don't pay for quality here nor for it's longetivity. You might even encounter a Kodak/Fuji labeled stock but it's nowhere near the quality of OEM's. In short go for major outfits.

Dyesub print (Rainbow or Tekt) lasts longer (50yrs) and has a higher quality than an inkjet print. The thermal paper's substrate coat's both water and finger proof. If you want a matte finish look, in the studio we spray over most of our final prints with a matte spray aerosol, heck it even looks better than an actual matte paper. For archiving purposes, we also spray our inkjet printouts with UV protection spray that acts like a laminate and it extends the quality for upto 5 years more. I guess these sprays can be purchased cheaply at your local arts and photography shops.

    yun lang so far

You are a customer and should always be treated accordingly. Island photo is a Kodak dealer and uses kodak paper and chemicals. As for the waiting time of 1 hour sa mga films lang yun applicable kasi they have to process your film to get a negative which takes almost 20 mins na. Developing the negative will take again another 20 mins. Digital medias would take only 30 mins to be processed and developed.

    Iba pa rin ang KODAK.

If you are in the pasig area, instead of going to the malls for your photo prints, you can try the kodak outlet at ortigas home depot. Its at the corner of the ortigas home depot building, facing the street, Arnaiz street ba yon? Pagkaalam ko, this kodak uses a digilab, so new technology na. I don't know if all Island Photo outlets have digilabs. Some may still be using those analog (film only) labs.

Tama nga, with digi prints, it shouldn't take that long.
