Psylocke, inspect mo pa mabuti yung kotse ninyo kung meron pang ibang defects..

sa toyota kasi eh masipag sila mag-ayos ng defects sa first 5,000km then after than eh pahirapan na at sasabihin eh wear and tear or kelangan bayaran mo yung labor..

if the casa wont accept your car as a lemon unit, best thing to do is to have it serviced and fixed right away. at no cost to you of course. hopefully, ma-resolve ang problems mo.

monmag, i looked at my bro's city, ok naman yung view from the rear. tires look straight naman. kung negative/positive camber yun, halata naman siguro kaagad just by looking at it.

that's why i asked psylocke if he had the chance to pick his unit from the casa's garage like we did. at least dun pa lang, makikita na yung mga problems so you would pick another unit that is to your liking.

carlo, sa manila mo i-service. walang problem ang brother ko sa kanila. bait pa ng mga tao. basta in any casa, stick to one service personnel. at least alam na niya history ng car mo.

He demanded for a new car (although 1.5years na ata yung car) or a replacement car.

At first ayaw ng casa, after a while nagagree, but since wala daw silang pwedeng ipalit na bnew, mamili nalang daw sya among 3 service units ng casa. Yung isa CRV na AT, yung isa MT, yung isa Accord 2.0, all used pero mga 1 year old lang din.

    He took the AT CRV.

Ok, I'm not trying to defend Honda, but initially it appears to be the vehicle owner's fault for willfully using the car and not having the said defect be rectified at the nearest Honda dealer immediately after Honda broadcasted through the media this purported defect in this type of vehicle. I think Honda announced it last May, making the notice almost five months.

Was the Civic totaled as a result of the faulty gas tank?

At least the aggreived vehicle owner can make an insurance claim on his car (if it were totaled) and at the same time get to drive home a better vehicle (CRV a/t). Nice!

Two, bagong labas na model to (kaya marame pa stock ito). Three, one week pa lang; ala pang registration siguro yan (definitely ala pang plaka).

Yong kay viper, all situations pointed otherwise. One, they prolly deemed it not mechanical (sabe nga ng iba cosmetics lang, to which I disagreed) kaya compromisable. Two, paubos na yong penultimate model na yon (dahil nga nilabas na yong facelifted). Three, may identity na yong car (plate and registration).

I shared my 2-cents sa case na yon (don sa thread ni Viper) but apparently, Viper, you don't deem the pursuit (for a replacement) worth its while (laki sakit ulo). Good that you've been compensated in more ways than one for the hassle

Whatever turns out for the two of you, guys, good luck and we'd appreciate an update. Other Honda owners have as much stake in cases like these. We provide the impetus for these dealers to do what is right (not just for publicity) but for the bottomline: customer satisfaction = sales. After all, the consumers are (not just one more) but the only reason for them to toe the line. Pag di na tinangkilik yan, patay silang bata sila! Kaya turn the situation to your advantage. They'll appease you no end kase may reputation na pinangangalagaan yan.

depende rin talaga sa dealer.. our vios suffered a busted headlamp. kumalat yung white stuff sa loob ng assembly. the dealer whole-heartedly replaced the whole lamp assembly.

number: Dude, where in my post did I mention the date of accident? I specifically mentioned that he was using the car when the recall notice was just published a few days before the accident. He didn't know about the recall issue until a friend told him about it.

In addition, if any manufacturer announces a recall on Oct 1, do you honestly expect all buyers will be sending their cars in by Oct 2??? What happens if the accident happened on Oct 2 1AM? Kasalanan na ng user for not bringing it in?

The car ran over the tank and swerved all over until it stopped in the center grass island, nothing major happened exept for the scare.

    Just wanna clarify

AFAIK hindi pansinin ung defect sa gas tank. a few mm longer lang ung bracket na naikabit and excessive vibration ang cause para magloosen ito.
