    1. Yeah, I agree - just claim on the insurance. No need for the hassle. Although I think the OP might want some retribution, pero I think nothing too bad will happen dun sa me-ari ng CRV.. She will just be made to pay a few thousand bucks at worst.. not worth it i think

Yes - that means hihintayin mo talaga hangang mejo mawalan ng traffic or me huminto at magbigay daan bago ka maka-merge.

Pero dito sa pinas, I'm not sure.. Although malakas din talaga loob ko pag ako ung nagdi-drive diretso sa road kasi im assuming na me right of way nga ako.

    2) dapat kinuha mo yung names or lisensya ng driver, number 1 rule yan pag may aksidente.
    3) Judging by the picture, it's too close to call, may kaladkad nga sa bumper sa CR-V suggesting na halos nagkasabay kayo PERO since siya yung going straight and yung sasakyan mo eh kumakabig to go to the main road that means the CR-V has the right of way since the CR-V is using the main road. Yung gasgas kasi is still on the front side of the bumper and on the front itself.
    4) do you have any witnesses? You should have so that you can also request for them to file an incident report as witnesses. Pero you know the Phils. Walang pake lalo na when you mention anything that involves LEGAL MATTERS, biglang mawawala ang mga yan. Kasi sa US eh mabilis kumilos ang mga pulis and the citizens themselves will have no regrets talking about a car accident, the only scenario na meadyo uurong sila is pag drug lords ang katapat nila.

Best thing you could do is kagaya ng sinabi ng kapwa tsikot natin, abangan mo nalang sila sa simbahan. Swerte mo if they'll be using the same vehicle. What I usually do if there's an accident at ayaw ibigay saken yung lisensya ng loko eh I'll record a video or ask a friend to video everything then I'll check their windshield kasi madalas may sticker sila ng subdivision nila doon.

If I were the witness during that time and I've seen the picture I'd say that it was your fault HOWEVER due to a technicality na "tinaguan" ka eh baka pwede ka pang manalo sa kaso if ever you want to file this but the problem is there's no name of the "culprit" to identify as the defendant.

Subukan mo nalang idaan sa compre insurance. Pero kung naka TPL ka yan yung mahirap, dapat habulin mo talaga sila and just check out kung sulit ang magiging expenses para mag pursue ng legal case like getting an attorney and such.

'Life's a journey, not a destination....'

hindi mo hinabol bro? wala ka bang nakitang traffic enforcer or police within the vicinity?

I had a similar incident, in fact I even had a photo of the vehicle and everything, but when we went down to confront the driver it attempted to run over me and my wife. My wife took a tumble and had bruises on her legs. We filed a traffic report and a police report for the assault, but guess what the Police till now have not done any action to it, even though they already know the name and address of the vehicle owner. This was few years ago. In our insurance claim we just filed for hit and run, but from advice we didn't mention the plate number of the other vehicle so that processing is faster. If they know the plate number they may want to make an investigation and may make our claim's processing take longer.

This happened to me also, several times pa. I just charge this to experience. First of all, umalis ka sa accident area without the presence of police or authorized traffic enforcers. Second, pag nireport mo yan sa insurance mo na hit and run and binigay mo yung plate number ng other car, matatagalan pa repair ng sasakyan mo dahil marami silang hihinging supporting documents sa claim mo. Third, the other car if they admit their fault will only shoulder your participation fee, most likely malaki pa sa participation fee ang magagastos mo just to comply sa kailangan ng insurance. And fourth your father already decided to shoulder the participation cost. Next time be a real defensive driver, dont take chances especially in busy intersections. If you have waited for that CRV to pass, that could have been only a 30 second wait compared to the trouble you have now.
