June 3rd, 2008 08:04 AM #1On the way to work, I thought there was some thick smog early in the morning at 6:40 AM along C-5 Ortigas. Yun pla usok from a garbage dump truck. Grabe ka-itim at ka-kapal ng usok. I thought some city or municipal dump truck. But when I got nearer it, I saw that it's a truck of Greenline Onyx Envirotech. May caption pa na the company is caring for the environment. Plate number is UGS 283, so you would expect na kakatapos lang i-rehistro, therefore, dumaan sa smoke emission test. Apparently, may mali sa sistema.
I researched about Greenline Onyx now and internet showed that it is owned and headed by a Tantoco, an in-law of Sec Alberto Romulo. Its mother company is from France.

I'm not surprised Xircom...our emission testing has a noble cause but sad to say some still find a way to exempt themselves from the process...plus the owner is related to a cabinet secretary and his company is caring for the environment?
Eh ngayon BBM has just ordered the suspension of the fining of ebikes and calls for a grace period...
