Actually, may silbi ang rumble strips. It is there for a purpose. And the main reason why they're there is to rudely wake up sleepy (or sleeping) drivers. Precaution kumbaga.

I'd rather have them there than have a sleepy driver plow the rear end of your vehicle at 80 kmh.

Re: the cat's eye, well, masyado ngang malaki, so iniiwasan ko na lang.

well... just practice defensive driving all the time. as long as we have undisciplined motorists (public and private) on the roads, (with your logic above) almost nothing will be applicable. the cat's eye were placed to (hopefully) put some semblance of discipline for every driver whether private or public. thus, if the taxis continue to be reckless even with the implements, the best safety strategy is to be defensive rather than swerve with them to avoid them.

just my opinion. no intention to argue.

actually, bigla akong nagulat sa "cats eye" sa buong edsa. ayun pala ang tawag doon hehe. anyway, main purpose nito is to stay intact on a single lane. sounds good but..

with that traffic here particularly sa edsa, mapipilitan ka talagang lumipat into a faster lane. sometimes hindi naman traffic, but the car in front of you drives like an old hag (may mga naka-civic pa ang babagal naman masyado), hence you will change lanes again. kahit may cats eye akong nagugulungan which irritates me, walang magagawa eh.

but it is already there, so masanay nalang tayo hehe.

yung rumble strips, talagang pampagising lang nang driver iyon hehe. kung gusto mong hindi masyadong mairita, drive faster on it.

pero mahirap gawin mag stay sa lane mo..kasi kung nasa inner lane ka ilang lane yung dadaanan mo bago ka makatawid sa outer lane to exit ...so kung 6 lanes 5x mo madadaanan yung mga catseye

pero dikit dikit daw?..kasi yung mga nakikita kong catseye dito aprox 15ft apart.. almost a car length ang distance

di lang dyan meron.. dito sa may edsa north bound from Kalayaan to Guadalupe sobrang dikit dikit din.. tsaka pano ba nakakabit yan?? kasi yung mga nakikita kong ganyan mabilis din natatanggal..
