The park facing the wall policy is just to reduce soot/exhaust marks on the walls.

This is what our parking admin told me. Since nung nag pavalet ako, yung valet nila mismo yung nag ppark backing the wall.

And sabi din ni admin, di naman daw nila ineenforce since delikado daw yung parked facing the wall since minsan pag maliwanag pa, di napapansin nung coming car yung reverse lights nung mag bbacking na sasakyan. E sa kipot ng mga building parking, 1 dangkal na atras lang pwede ka ng mahagip if saktong paatras ka while may padaan.

Multiple times na daw na nagkasanggian, kasi si coming car medyo mabilis and dating kasi pababa yung daan, and naka tingin sa kasalubong or dun sa blind spot mirror ng parking while si driver na naka facing the wall di aware since natatakpan ng mga katabi nya yung view nya and hindi din rinig na may parating.

I dont follow the park facing the wall. Mas madali mag maniobra pag patalikod talaga ang park.

Still, it's a simple matter of following rules. It is a private facility after all whether we're paying a fee or not.

Masyadong maraming magagaling para sumunod sa mga patakaran kaya wag magtaka kung bakit nagkakanda-leche-leche ang mga lansangan.

I don't feel comfortable backing out of a parking space. For me it's safer to exit the parking space going forward, in that I can see if there are vehicles approaching.

I think I'm "illegally" parked right now... but someone there guided me. The parking area is full right now. I think it's because of the cosplay. I have to admit that I'm somehow ashamed, but the parking attendant guided me there. I hope no one will take a picture and post it here.

For me, the park facing the wall is a economic vs safety problem. Since as the parking admin told me, maraming accidents due to parking facing the wall. Hopefully magkaroon official guideline kung suno mang govt agency ang involve sa parking.

Maybe we can involve tgp/niky? ) since magandang topic to. Are we really risking our safety just to keep the wall's paint prestine?

saken naman if it's a private facility then let's adhere to their regulations regardless kung mismo staff nila di naman sumusunod. It's like jaywalking.. just because a dozen people jaywalk kung saan ka tumatawid doesn't make it right diba. Numbers doesn't give it justification.

Ang logic naman why they want you to park facing the wall according sa admin na nakausap ko is for drivers to avoid hijacking the open slot na nalampasan na nila which is automatically covered by the vehicle behind them. I've personally encountered situations like these na lumampas na yung auto sa harapan namin then biglang umalis yung sasakyan naka park kaya kami na ang may "legal claim" sa slot pero gagawin ng sasakyan sa harapan namin eh biglang mag rereverse at aagawin parking slot namin, ayun magkakatalo pa kami and that's on a single lane parking zone. Pero I also have to agree na mas madali mag park facing outwards that's why I prefer open parking kasi madalas wala silang regulation na ganun. Anyway, gotta head out and purchase some alcohol para sa barkada get-together.

I admit am guilty of not parking facing the wall. Mas confident lang talaga ko pag exit ko going forward. Sinusunod ko lang to if pa slant yung parking like nung sa SM San Lazaro. Kung sino mang tsikoteers nakapasok na sa SM San Lazaro they know what I'm talking about.

I only park facing the wall if there's a sign that says so. Pero masama loob ko when I do that kasi hirap ako sa paharap

It being a private entity does not mean anything if it would expose you and people around you to certain risks just for them to save money. Its like those no return no exchange policy ng mga biz dati kahit wala pang 7 days, rules that were created to take advantage of the consumers.

And in your example, the "passing" manuever may just be to give way to the car that is getting out. Unless talagang before pa dumating yung driver nung other car, nakalampas na sya and snwerte lang sya na may lalabas sa likod nya. Pero equal rights parin kayo dun, unless nasa likod mo sya sa simula ang nung nakita nya na palabas yung nasa unahan mo, lumipat sya sa unahan to get the better position.

And if nasa unahan mo sya, possibly nauna sya sayo so in gentleman terms, mas ok lang na mauna na sya if sa gitna nyo yung lumabas na sasakyan.
