The normal lay-out of the tire stopper should be in between the lines (perpendicular). Some (as shown above) is that the line is directly at the middle of the stopper. Some uses this lay-out as the stopper would serve two slots, half of the car only, but this lay-out is confusing as the driver's usual attention is with the stopper (usually more visible than the line)

all it needs, is one mis-aligned parker. then the next vehicle to park has no choice but to follow. then the mis-aligned parker leaves, making it appear that the second vehicle was the one at fault.

remember folks, when you see a parked car that's out of line don't immediately do the scratch or brake fluid treatment. it might simply have slotted between 2 improperly parked cars. if those 2 improperly cars leave it might look like the remaining car is a douchebag

It happened to me 2 days ago. There was one slot left and I was in a hurry (doctor's appointment) I had no choice but to take that slot. I tried my best ayusin parking but the best I can do e umapak sa yellow line.

but be sure you are ALREADY parking.
