ako balance lang, commute and drive. pag ako lang mag-isa, di naman masyadong importate yung lakad at wala gustong sumabay sa pupuntahan ko, nagcocommute ako, in some cases kapag very important talaga at me hinahabol akong oras, gagamit na ako ng kotse niyan.

masarap din naman kasing mag-commute minsan lalo na sa Bus, stress free, me driver ka e, makakanood ka pa ng TV, the best of all tipid talaga at kung minsan maswerte e, meron ka pang makakatabing chicks na maaring mo chickahin while on board. Pero meron mga hardtimes minsan kapag nagcocommute something like punuan, siksikan, standing position ka sa bus or MRT, that is sh*t, minsan talaga isinuusumpa ko yung ganong pagkakataon, nasasabi ko sarili ko "taena, bat ko ba inaabot ang ganito meron naman akong sarling sasakyan" sorry choice kong magcommute ng ganon araw kaya tiis talaga ako, hehehe... minsan nga nagtataka rin yung mga nakakakilala sakin na nakikita akong sumasakay sa jeep or nakakasabay kong sumakay sa bus napapatanong sila "oh, nasan yung kotse mo?", "o di mo ata gamit yung service mo, coding ba?" natutuwa na lang ako, lalo na dun sa reaksyon nung mga napapatingin na kasakay namin kapag tinanong ako ng ganun, they are confused.

I rarely commute. Meron naman akong kotse eh, I can afford gas. Bakit pa ako sasabay sa mga tao na magintay ng sasakyan.

If I do commute, minsan kasi talagang no choice .. either coding tapos ginagamit yung extra car.

kaya nga ako di na interesado sa cars section ng forum na ito, kasi new cars don't interest me anymore. yun mga pambili ko ng bago tsikot, pinang-travel ko sa USA and Europe. eh yan mga mayayabang ng mga naka-Fortuner at Montero na yan, hanggang picture lang siguro nila nakikita mga lugar na yun, at syempre lalong hindi sila makakapunta duon kasi 5 years silang tali sa hulog. and what's with this new yuppies with this MID-size suvs, I still have my 6 years old Sta Fe, but I dont act like I'm elite and I respect all cars on the road lalo na yun mga naka-boxtype na ang drivers are senior citizens. sobrang natutuwa talaga ako sa kanila.

this year ang pahinga travel ko, yun mga mura lang like Hongkong Again, Singapore and South Korea. lahat naka-book na 5 days 4 nights. lahat nakuha ko sa promo. eh kung pinang-down ko yun ng bago tsikot like Kia Sportage sana gusto ko, eh ano magbabago sa'kin this year. ang sarap sarap ng nag-travel dami nababago sa'kin. bagong tsikot like lumang tsikot, ganun pa din point A to point B, what a boring life
:bwahaha: the smell of envy on this guy is strong.:bwahaha:

before i start i just want to make it clear that i don't discriminate on old cars, i actually like seeing them on the road especially if it's a classic car. but i hate seeing old cars that wasn't maintained properly ie. rusty/non working lights/no side mirrors/smoke belching because they are a hazard to our roads.

first off, it's great that you properly maintained a 13yr old car and isn't giving any trouble. that's actually good for you.

2nd - don't really care that much about gas prices. if it's cheaper then great but if the price gets really high i don't go and complain about it, it's part of buying a car. can't afford gas and keep complaining about how expensive it is, get a bike or walk.

3rd - sounds like you're generalizing all new car buyers so here's the thing, i buy new cars because of all the added features and comfort it has, it makes my commute much better and fun. you really think you're the only one who travels outside of the philippines? i just purchased a new car and i can still travel all over the world, infact i only travel business class and only travel business class because PAL doesn't have 1st class anymore. i've traveled around the world at age 13 and did it again at 18. i travel so much that i even get free plane tickets to wherever i want to go in business class again. when i travel i don't even have to fall in line i just go straight to the plane or our own waiting lounge with free wifi, food and drinks and i can bring 3 check in baggage and all 3 can be 25lbs heavier than your regular passengers. just because you purchased a new car doesn't mean wala ka na pera agad.

4th - my current car is financed but the only reason i financed it because that's the only way i can get one asap but all my other cars was bought cash. we have our own company and finance our company cars, we can buy it in cash but instead of shelling out 1-2M cash on the spot we finance because that 1-2M cash we can double or triple it in just a couple of months that's why we finance for 12-24 months pretty much everything we buy in our company is through financing because of that. i'm sure a lot of other people do this because it is a pretty damn smart move. the only reason why i don't finance my personal cars is because it is much easier and faster to buy in cash, i don't have to submit any documents or monitor my bank account every month unlike in our company some one does that for me kaya ok lang through finance.

you don't have a new car because you can't afford a new one, you can't travel and at the same time buy a new car so you have to choose one. now you hate on people who can afford a new car thinking they can't do what you do, but infact most of them can do both of what you can't and even more. :bwahaha:

Yahoo! Don't hate on OB guys.

Seriously OB, I don't think you'll be needing a new car na. Marami ka na eh, meron ka pa Explorer, Mazda 6, Jimny and what not. Kulang pa ba yun? Tama, use your cash on something you'd enjoy... sa yaman at dami na ng kotse mo, wala nang thrill sa pagbili ng bago. Travel on different countries. Tapos i-pagkatiwala mo sakin yung 8 cars mo.

They can discriminate all they want, really! But at the end of the day, in a parking lot filled with plain and common everyday car brands, I get to stand out ......
