i notice that here in Manila. in the provinces, so long as your car takes you to where you wanna go, then the car is good. i have classmates whose cars are of box type and go to court-pero sobrang liquid. yung isa ko friend, ride niya pagong, nag aapoy sa kalsada at nasunog pero, di mo siya ma discriminate kasi dami niyang pera. meron din naglalakad lang from her office to her house, dami din pera. yung me ari ng bus company samin, anak na doctor nagda drive ng jeepy at guitar ang tee shirt-considering na halos lahat ng pangangailangan ng province namin mabibili mo sa kanila.

Thailand made midsize SUV owner: "Magkano ba kuha mo diyan?"

Friend ko: "1.7M, yung sa'yo magkano?"

Thailand made midsize SUV owner: Nag-walk out....

Iyan ang matindi,- nag-kumpara pa ng presyo....

    14.4K:out:

Classic example: GMA easily coughing up P 2.00M in cash for the bond mandated by the SC so she could fly to out ASAP. Your neighborhood corrupt politico will probably be one of the most liquid people around since they need money to spend here and there, and they cannot put it all in legitimate deposits lest they be hit with AMLA.

When there is need for a substantial amount, its available there and then. A lot of people would probably have their money tied up in various time deposits or investments to maximize earnings so they usually need some time to make considerable amounts available (kahit SDA lang, every 14 and 30 days maturity).

My in-laws live in the province and never bothered to buy a car until my bro-in-law took his Medicine studies in Manila. They would just commute around which is quite easy or rent a car if needed. However, with the rapid urbanization taking place, the money coming in from OFWs, and new businesses in a lot of the provinces, volume of new car ownership is really picking up fast.

Do people discriminate against old cars?
