anyways, i thought having the best phone or car would make me very happy, it would only last weeks then another unsatisfied need for material things would eventually arise...

but that all changed when i became a dad, having a new car is trash compared to the happiness when your child is hugging you or talking to you for the first time.
That's very true. One of the basic Philo articles we went over; Man is invia, a perpetual "not yet". We will never be satisfied so getting that new phone, new car, etc will always be replaced with even more wants. Look at out little ex president and her family. Classic example of nasobrahan.

Ang walang anak... bading!!! hehehe... j/k Yes, having kids also changed my life. I used to be happy go lucky and my main concentration was the cars we had in the garage (oh yeah... and graduate from college). I had kids early and from there my priorities changed. Im still a car enthusiast but family and career take the front seat. Thankfully my wife is understanding about giving me alone time to work on or detail the cars once a week.

That kind of "enlightenment" is something i see with a lot of the successful persons i've encountered and who have served as my mentors at home and at work.

Kasi, I understand na they cant really learn if they just stick on driving on their villages. Kailangan nila maka-adopt sa " REAL WORLD " wherein may pasok ng pasok dito or may jeep na biglang hihinto. Jan mo kasi pinapractice skills mo.

I remember then when I used to drive around the streets, nagpapractice palang ako nun. I encountered this insanely high speedbump. Dumaan ako, nakapass yung harap, pag sampa nung rear wheels, dumulas pabalik. Nataranta ako, of course, so I braked hard. Wag mataranta. So I calmly passed the humps. Nakakahiya, yes. Haha. That was one of my unforgettable experiences as a learning driver. Im sure you experienced the same too. Kaya kung ayaw mo maabala, just look if pwede mo sila maovertake. If kaya, then go.

blessed are those who are pabalik na

in a poor country like ours, many people are still in the papunta stage

it's really toxic when you're surrounded by papunta people. there's a lot of payabanagan and inggitan going on

    surround yourself with pabalik people

    it's good for you

BTT: Actually I noticed minsan kahit hindi old cars eh.

Thailand made midsize SUV owner: "Magkano ba kuha mo diyan?"

Friend ko: "1.7M, yung sa'yo magkano?"

Thailand made midsize SUV owner: Nag-walk out....

Do people discriminate against old cars?
